How can we promote barefoot acceptance? I've always enjoyed going barefoot, but never gone barefoot in public places until this summer. I've never seen other people barefoot in my area, but you see a lot of people wearing sandals, which tells me they want their feet to be comfortable.
i love going barefoot! people never look at me funny when i am...i think they're just used to it by now. now that ive moved to the beach, theres tons more people going barefoot than there were in chi-town. i think more people should go barefoot anyway b/c then less people would be breaking glass on the side walks, littering and doing such things...they wouldnt want to step on broken glass, now would they?
Pay no attention to the nay-saying knownothing. God only knows why he's here, since he apparently can't stand nor fathom barefooting. Blue skies, -Jeffrey
For shame that someone would have the slightest notion of rebellion on a hippie site. We should all be doing what the establishment tells us to do.
if you are refering to barefoot_longhair as a nay-saying knownothing ... I'd like to inform you that HE started the DSS .. Dirty Sole Society.. which turned into Barefooters.org... so he's been doing the "battle" for a very long time.
From the contextual basis of my post, I thought it would be obvious that I was telling barefoot_longhair to not pay attention to the naysaying knownothing who had said to give up trying to "rebel" by going barefoot. I DID say that the person I was calling a knownothing couldn't fathom or stand barefooting. How could I have meant Paul, the DSS founder? Blue skies, -Jeffrey
when I'm out and about barefoot never see other people barefoot. Just wondering if you every run into other people out in public barefoot, and i'm not talking about see other barefoot in along the boardwalk at the beach. ???? I hoping the more people see us barefoot in public the more they'll think its accepted Bud
I like to walk on paved paths and trails in parks. I have yet to see anyone going barefoot out there. Maybe once a year I'll see some prints of bare feet in the mud. Barefooting seems to have gone out of style in my area. I notice more people wear shoes at the beach now compared with years ago. It almost seems like they are afraid they will pick up HIV or something. I like leaving my footprints all over the dirt trails. Maybe people won't think it's crazy when they see that someone else is doing it. If most people went barefoot, people in shoes would be the ones poked fun at.
It's funny, I went by Blockbuster to return a movie today, and as I was leaving, a dude climbed out of his car and slipped on some shoes (he was barefoot). I've seen other people barefoot, but not many.
So come down here and be one of those people going barefoot in Florida! Maybe even come skydiving barefoot with me! Blue skies, -Jeffrey
Well, post a pic of you barefoot and I'll pretend that you're here until you actually are here. Blue skies, -Jeffrey
Say hey Brother...Peace to you with lots of love. Let those who want their feet to touch motherearth touch her. Once again as Jerry put it...its not about the rebellion...its about the peace of mind. Wear shoes if you want, brother. but I'm not because I feel comfortable.
