I Like American & probably even more British Progressive Music(they are the heart of the imaginary progressive land)

But let s talk about the arms... the brain (german prog bands)... & the other parts...

I mean here We talk of what often we forget... LET S TALK ABOUT EUROPEAN PROG BAND (i dont count the brits)...

Italy & France have some good bands... but Germany has so much to offer ...
so here is the place to talk about different bands...from different place...

I start with the French Band ANGE ...

Is There somebody who knows them?... they are a new revelation to me(antoher one)... they recorded too many albums but the ideal place To start somewhere it s their Mid 70s records who are essential...

They talk in French... & their prime force is their imaginary lyrics... But they ve got enough interesting Musical elements to attract Foreign Prog Fans...

    Jump to the other side...:D

No, we never forget them. It's impossible to forget Faust or Shub Niggurath.

Can Scorpions be described as Prog Rock?

Probably not ancient enough anyway, but they influenced so many British and Amercian bands within a decade...

Can Focus be accounted for as a prog rock band?
I feel like it could be seen as one.

BTW, they are from the netherlands

    - Scorpions can be considered as ancient... their 1st album is from 1972... the year of the 1st Ange lp... Scorpions dont seems so old to american ' cause they break the US market only 10 years later...
But definitvely their 2 mid 70s album are giant ones & my faves

    - and well they cannot be considered as a prog band even if in the 2 first album they include rarely prog instruments & flyin guitars... it s not enough... but they dont need to be prog to make 70s good music...

yah i did not want to overwhelm even more with German bands. Both bands you mentioned are fabulous. i thought this was a thread for the already anitiated looking for prog in the non prog power countries, not so much the newbies. my bad.
