The human condition is suffering and this is due to the inherent need to survive, baseline boredom, and contrived goals to escape from the baseline boredom that we must face as humans. All of these categories are negative (bad) and comprise the inherent suffering of the human condition. As a result of our condition, we cannot "just be". We must continually strive for physiological survival and escape from the baseline boredom of existence. This may sound very Buddhist. Buddhism has great insight into the fact of life being suffering . It is only the mystical elements (taken from its predecessor religions Jainism and Hindu philosophy) that I have contention with. Concepts such as reincarnation, karma, and nirvana are unnecessary and do not provide a real solution to the suffering. The only way to truly end the suffering that is inherent in the human condition is to not procreate. Procreation perpetuates the suffering to a future generation. what about anal? hmm i never considered fucking part of suffering oooooo noooooooo it feellls so bad!
The voluntary human extinction movement is an old one, and if that is your chosen path then do so. but you do it at the expense of having wild unprotected sex with dozens of hot babes, while leaving a trail of crying little diaper clad bastards clear across the country Hotwater
Whoa whoa whoa, hotwater I'm a charter member of VHEMT... Don't push any more nut bags off on us we have enough. We like sex, just not kids.
But doesn't Heisenberg's uncertainty principle state that we can never know with complete certainty both the position of an individual sperm and it's movement at the same time :H (or should I be quoting murphy's law) Hotwater
The more I think about kids, the more excited I get. You get to mold a little human being into the person you hope they may one day become. What an opportunity! Also, I can never complain of boredom when I have at least one toddler around, because I'll have another person to have imagination time with. I'm stoked, though not too eager to have them before I have a much higher income.
