Americans will want another "Strong on terrarist" president who protect them from another 9/11. I bet during the elections Osama will do a last minute Cameo like he did for Bush that help Bush clinch the second elections.

    Prediction.

Close race, Osama Broadcasts message telling americans to vote for Obama, Mccain wins.

Someone is gonna call up another favor.

Possibly...I've had very high expectations of the voters this time around because our current circumstances are poorer and people would take voting more seriously. But this logic is flaccid-hitler got into power because of a poor economy and a desperate people.

I'm just waiting for some bullshit to happen again to procure the WH for the GOP again, something like what you stated.

I was wondering if maybe a good candidate for Obama would be Joe Biden, to help attract the national security vote.

I just hope that if bin Laden does do what you say, people will wonder "why is bin Laden telling me to vote for Obama?...he knows we're scared of him so he must want McCain to win. I'm stickin with obama..." I guess we will see.

    sorry, double post...

it's been a pattern that obama supporters are relatively level-headed (according to polls, clinton supporters don't want obama to win but obama supporters wouldn't mind if clinton won). I know the general election voters are a different crowd, but for the same reason why they want a neophyte in office they might resist a last minute anti-plug from bin Laden: they can see the larger picture.

The problem is most voters will automatically click the Mccain checkbox if Osama does is election favor and mentions Obama. Americans will simply automatically assosciate the two together with no critical thinking involved and just pick McCain to protect us from impending doom. It is typical psychological warfare.

of course, america would like the other fear candidate lol... fear the big unknown shadowy boogey man that controls the world and is always screwing you over, blame that "thing" or "they" for all your problems! screw the people who actually point to a tangible enemy, its more fun to make up a fake one !

I am not so sure. The republicans have done such a poor job in office i don't know if the American public will give them another shot, and they do not deserve one. I don't expect much change either way, the democratic controlled house and senate haven't done anything either.

They gave the Bush dynasty 3 shots. I guarantee McCain will win. Just because a bunch of hippies hate bush (Most hippies probably do not bother to vote anyhow) does not mean the whitebread american will not vote McCain.

He will win because Americans will make so many excuses. Like Hillary is a cold **** and too distant, Obama is too young and too black for my taste and his name rhymes with osama and I heard he is a closet muslim. Etc.. McCain will play those angles and with Osama's TV appearence during the elections it will be a done deal.

    I suggest you read 1984.

Bin Laden is already issuing tapes, don't you guys watch the news or read the papers. It's election season, and Bush just went a visiting.

I am still waiting for our cowpoke in the White House to smoke him out. I don't think the Admiral's son will do much better.

But you are probably right about McCain, if the youth don't get out there and vote you can bet the AARP crowd will vote McCain. And they aren't big fans of Hillary either.

I won't believe that McCain can win. He has no aura. He's a flat line on a heart monitoring machine. It'd be like voting in Keith Richards - too close to death. *shudders*

From the news I see, McCain is so far in the background of things, whether he's the Republican choice or not, I don't see him "out there" doing much of anything except Saturday Night Live. Which, did make me giggle.

70-75% of the population hates bush, not just hippies. stereotyping aside, more people are voting now that didn't vote before. Bush Jr. only won by a fraction in 2000 (gore actually won the pop vote), and that was before we all knew what scumbags the bush admin consisted of. The type of person you mentioned that will make excuses will indeed vote, but this time around I don't think they will abound enough to skew the other voters. I think the cheating and tactics required to secure the WH for Mccain would be too transparent to succeed.

Since all federal bureaucracies are now stuffed full of fundamentalist loyal neocon Bushies- even the Secret Service- they will not let Obama take office. Most likely they can eliminate him non-violently, but I fear they'll just kill him if that's what it takes :(

these people are commonly known as fifth columnists

these people work in the higher echelons of government, they act like a cancer, they steal secrets and pass them onto their masters. they do all sort of stupid things in the name of strengthening a nation whilst all the time weakening it. america had turned a corner with the election of carter, a man with some conscience became bewildered as the powers to be conspired against him, he left office under cloud of hostages in iran.

with reagan the new world order and the rise of the sith had come. george bush senior launched a war in south america and ran arms to iran via people like colonel north (reagan was officially in charge but had problems remembering even simple events like running weapons to hostile nations.

when george senior came to office proper as president he actively nutured a war in the middle east. iraq invaded as it had been given the green light by bush for iraq to invade kuwait. at the end of his reign the clinton years gave the forces of darkness some pause for breath. it was in these years that the war on democracy in america was formulated. as george junior was crowned the new emperor a new war was launched on their old pals the iraqis. even though iraq had no ties to the terrorist attack (that many privately feel was an attack on america perpetrated by the very insitutions meant to protect the american people) it was attacked anyway.

in the final months of the emperor's reign a new third front to the war is being formulated. imperial storm troopers are being rushed to iraq in greater numbers than before , imperial cruisers are being moved to forward positions to what promises to be the war of the year (the iraq war is a very old news story).

Those people that voted for GW the second time around, will vote for McCain...he's a veteran, that's all they need to know. They don't want to know anything else about him. Red, white and blue! He's not a woman, he's not married to a philander who was impeached, and he's not a black with a muslim name that rhymes with Osama.

Hardly anyone asks him how he votes on veterans benefits...why should he care as an admirals son, he didn't have to worry about the GI bill.

None of the three of them are actually spending anytime actually considering legislation being passed in the senate that affects their constiuency, unless you have the money to make it worth their while.

Fuel prices aren't being affected, or commodities, and I'd bet all of their portfolios are making money off the constrictions of the working man's life.
