This is Sean, a young man I met on a cruise ship in April 2009. I couldn't help but notice the tat on his back, which is the Prayer of Peace by St. Francis. He said it was a memorial to his aunt who had died. On my recent cruise in November I saw Eric, another young man with a prayer tat on his abs. This is real dedication to ink and a thought
Great stuff there Shale. The depth and breadth of the art of tattooing has taken on in the last few years never ceases to amaze me.
wow those are cool and very interesting. it makes it better that it doesnt have "Corinthians #;#" or w/e. those guys are bomb too they both have really nice tummies.
Those look really good. I find it much more interesting and moving when a tattoo has a spiritual connection. After I finish my back piece I want to work on an Egyptian "prayer" that will go down my sides.
I get a little choked up each time I read it. Also, not Catholic or even Christian but some thoughts transcend that.
A friend of mine has a prayer on his calf as a tribute to his father. I have a few tattoos but so far no writing - although I don't think I'll get a prayer. The photos you have shown look great though!
