For the nonAmericans here - a lot of weirdo-fundamentalist-style Christians who believe in a flat earth that's the center of the universe, etc. (cause the Bible sez so etc) don't like the fact that schools try to teach their kids tolerance, sex education, etc. which they consider an affront to their beliefs, and evolution and science (which contradict the Bible and are therefore wrong). So many times they home school.

So "home schooling" to many people here is considered something mentally unstable people do because they're religious fanatics --- "go write out Pheloponeicians 12:14 five hundred times. Then do your chores."

 

this person is just seeking attention. THis is not the way christian look at life. he or she got his attention so thats fine. o by the way jesus was "taught" carpentry by his father.?????and you had to be able to read and sifer numbers to be a priest. so as i said this person is just wanting attention. he got it.

 

Yes, science is the devil because it is a threat to religion. Down with education!

The Bible has some fine scriptures. It is the most popular book in the world. It is a world best seller. One must not take anything as gospel truth but should sustain an open mind throughout the course of their life.

The bible is in the fiction section of the libraries around here. It is generally a false story that manages to portay some truth's.

I'm a follower of Jesus, and if I didn't go to school, I would have little chance to share my faith with others. God commands us to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth, and that starts in your community and your kid's school.
