what kind of "techniques" are there to make your bud more potent? i was wondering because iv never done it but iv heard of people doing it, and who wouldent want more potent bud? ​

 

Potency varies per strain. But, I guess technically, if you grew your plants with the utmost care taking all factors into consideration...you could possibly get the highest amount of THC/Trychromes possible. Other than that, there are people who claim this and claim that, but trust me, its not rational or logical.

 

If you really want to make really potent bud then here's how:
You need at least a gram of bud and some 100% Acetone. Take a jar and put the bud in and then just enough acetone to submerge it completely. Then shake it a little and leave it to soak for an hour or so. Then strain out the bud and pour the acetone into a dish. Then add some more acetone to the bud, let it sit, strain it, and pour the acetone into the dish with the acetone already in it (and discard the bud, it has now lost all its potency). Then just leave it in the sun (try to put a screen or something over it to keep things from falling in it) and then a while later after all the acetone has evaporated, take some more fresh bud and soak it in the mixture and let it dry.

Now I'll explain what happens: THC is super soluble in acetone so when you mix the two the acetone pretty much sucks all the THC out of the bud. Then when you take the acetone that has been infused with the THC and put it in the sun then all the acetone evaporates away, leaving you with pretty close to 100% THC in a liquid form. From here on you can do anything you want with it. You can add it to more bud to greatly increase the potency, or if you have a vaporizor then smoking this liquid will FUCK you up. Hell, you can even put a few drops on toast and eat it if you want.

I've done acetone extractions with bud and salvia and have been extremely pleased with the results. Oh, and acetone can be picked up from any hardware store; it costs like $5 for like a liter of it, which will last forever.

 

that sounds pretty sweet, il try it and see how it goes i remember reading on this one post about like shaking off thc crystals what is the best method what do u guys think cuz i bought an o about a week ago and it has crystals

I recall my friend saying that lightly scraping bud with sandpaper over a plate was the way he gathered the crystals. Now, if you did the extraction, soaked the bud in the THC, sprinkled it with the keif crystals and dried it, then I can only imagine the potency...

 

imo, i say crystals only up the potency to a point.

i've smoked bud which it has looked like it's been dipped in sugar and they never got me like SOOOOO Much more stoned than just the same weed less crystals

 

Choosing the exact right time to harvest helps loads.
