I'm thinking of trying pot for the first time with some friends, but I wanted to ask a few questions first.

Can someone explain to me what you feel and stuff?
Like, do you say things that you don't want people to know that kind of just come out?
How long before it wears off and you feel normal again?
I really want to, but I'm kind of stand offish right now....can anyone help me here? [IMG] haha thanks

I got sick the first few times I tried it.. after ya smoke it you giggle a lot.. or go to sleep.. it's different depending on the quaility of the smoke and your matabolizium.. it's not mind altering and you know excatly what your doing..it's not like being drunk or druged.. it's like a slow and easy feeling that travels to your head and calms the sences..it's a good relaxing feeling and smoke helps ease pain and soothes glucoma.. it make you hungry most of the time..it's a thinking herb.. it makes you think heavily.. it lasts a couple of hours depending on how much you smoke.. it stays in your system for 30 days. and can be found in your hair folicals, nails and urine..

what do you feel?...........well, you feel your true self......... it's different for each and everyone because each and everyone IS an individual....... think about what you're doing....just like anything, use in a pleasant, chill environment. after multiple uses, you'll learn to feel your high and you'll have the opportunity to explore the beauty of Cannabis. It's not a "controlling" substance like many "drugs". It's a choice. Many, many.......most in fact, epecially nowdays....choose not to let themselves see the beauty and thus benefit. many use as a recreational thing to escape sobriety or to ease problems......this is what I call misuse. Learn to USE. Cannabis is beautiful. It will help you learn thyself....the more you learn, the greater the benefits. also, try and smoke well grown pot. stay away from the commercial junk that mostly goes around now.

    You know, he's completely right.
I quite recently stopped using cannabis (father's request).
It was the best thing to come into my life for my spirituality.
It helped reveal many truths to me.
Many things about myself, and about The Great Spirit, Herself.
    Use it responisibly.
    It's a gift from above.
    Just remember, you are love.
    Love is.

How were things revealed to you spiritually? That's what I'm interested in happening if I were to use it.........

I can only go on my experience

    To me its like this
incredibly relaxing, if the surrounding is relaxing, if not, on edge, paraniod and unhappy, and so, please make sure youre comfortable.

Also, I found that I would be paranoid for at least a month later sometimes and worry about things which I wouldnt normally worry about. I link this to pot, because I did a self test where I went without and tired again, the same thing happened.

so for me, its great in the short term, not so good longterm

I disagree with this statement (for me of course, not everyone).
Now, I use it for spirituality, because when I smoke cannabis, it connects me with Mother Earth and The Great Spirit.
We speak to each other and discuss things once I am intoxicated with Her spirit.
She has reavealed many things to me.
I believe everyone should at least try it once.
People say LSD and Majikal Mushrooms are the true mind expanding substances...but I believe Marijuana is the gift from above to us.
    Use it with respect.

:) no, smoking pot will not make you paranoid....... not to say it can't. Anxiety is common side effect of all psychadelic use....yes, cannabis is a psychoactive......and all drug use for that matter. Use in a nice, relaxed happy filled environment I say greatly reduces chances of side effectual anxiety. Paranioa is mind set usually......respect the herb & it will respect you back.

If you experience anxiety, you can always eat some acid.......should anyways, it's good for you......plus is a powerful treatment for most people's Cannabis tension.

Puff up..it's cool....don't worry....if you do worry about it, might as well not get high

The first time I smoked, I was hanging out with a friend who's folks grew it. We had a large kitchen bag full and just wandered around the island with a backpack. I will never forget it. As I sat there on the beach with the waves rolling in and the sunset pouring over me I felt soooooo connected to everything alive. Shortly we walked away and came upon some hula dancers. The combination of the ocean, the beutiful movements, and my enhanced state of mind provided a spiritual catalyst that has continued throughout my life. It was a wonderful day. I think environment is very important to the first time and good loving people to show you the way. Outside of that I think the rest of the journey is up to you. Peace and have fun, I think you'll like it.
add Personally I would reccomend holding off on the acid until you've gotten comfortable with your new state of mind. Just my two cents.

Surroundings are extremly important...and who you are with.
For your first time I would be as close to nature as you can and with someone you trust, even though it will not affect you as LSD or other mind altering drugs would, it does have an effect on your psyche.
Some people do get paranoid, and while that is rooted in pre-existing anxiety, marijuana can bring it out.

My favorite thing to do is get high out in my woods, with my dog. Being around nature naturally calms me, and being high does make me feel things more intensly.
My dog is cool and he keeps me grounded.
I would build up to being around more people and noisy situations because all your senses are sharpened and you don't want too much stimulation before your ready for it.

Be with someone who has smoked before and is calm about it. You will pick up on vibes so a calm environment is nice for your first time.

I too look at it as a gift,it opens up a new way to feel things and does have health advantages.
However as in anything that alters your mind...moderation and balance is key.

If you do go out to the woods or whever you are...drinks and munchies are good to have.

SurfhipE, I think you should listen to teepi. She's a very smart women, and she is showing her true genius now.

When you do try it for the first time, know it is a gift and that the effects will be positive. That's how you get rid of ANY negative energies.

    Good luck, sister.

It makes me think about things at a slight tangent .. thoughts occur that you otherwise wouldn't be able to access. Use responsibly, don't smoke much at first.

That sounds like a very good idea. Somewhere where you won't feel very worried about getting caught or what's around you. Find surroundings that feel right, and then you will feel right about what you are doing. Be with someone you trust, and with whom you are not concerned about being judged by or are overly conscious about how you act around them. Don't build it up too much in your mind and freak yourself out, because it won't do that on it's own. Just chill out, and take it for what it is. Believe you're going to have a wonderful experience, because I'm sure you are.

But don't expect TOO much either and get disappointed if you don't have some profound, life changing experience. Different tokes for different folks, and it's different every time. Just have fun, and let your experiences grow with you.

    Best of luck.

This a very interesting thread as I'm sitting here reading and smoking my bowl.
For me,the marijuana experience started back in 69.I loved it from the beginning. Now a days,I still smoke daily,I still grow my own,and it's all done with the blessings of the state.I have my medical marijuans card for my glaucoma, and severe pain.It works well for me,not perfect, but very well. The spiritual side of weed is the best part.Nothing like acid, but very trippy in another way.You can really get "into" thoughts, ideas, spiritualism, creativity, etc.
Basicly where you want to be,you should be able to get there with ease. One of the absolute best things about weed is it eliminates any violent or uncool thoughts and fills you with a feeling of love and peace.I don't tell anybody to do anything but live well,so I won't tell you to do this.Listen to what the brothers and sisters say, weigh it all, then make your decision.Peace and blessings.

Also take it slow and easy the first time. Know the grade of the stuff your going to smoke. The better the grade the less you will want to smoke. I have seen my husband totally freak off of 2 tooks. He only smoked when the moon was blue. If you happen to smoke too much, some things that will help bring you down. Wet your head, eat a full meal, or take a nap. I am not trying to scare you away from smoking, But as a new smoker you need to know how to bring yourself out of the high.
