    Hey guys
((first off please dont give me any pro-life stick ok? im pro choice even if i find out after it was the wrong choice))

Right basically i had an abortion 2 months ago, it was a surgical one.
I bled for two days then stoped for 3 days then started bleeding again. I went to my doctor they said it wasnt normal to stop and start bleeding again. I went to the hospital they pregnancy tested me and all was clear, he said just treat it like an early period. and that was it. no checking me or anything.

So i did as he said and treated it like a period, it stopped as usual, my next period came delayed about 6 weeks later (it was the last week of july so about a week ago) It began with about 4 days of small bleeding before the full period. again it finised as usual abotu a week ago maybe just over.

Now ive started bleeding again, i started bleeding 2 days ago and its getting heavyer, its not like a semi heavy period and its worrying me.

I rang up NHS direct (which is where you call up an NHS nurse whos on call to give you advice) and they said it was just a hormone imbalence robably ...but im still worried. They said if i had to change my pads three times in three hours to call them back. its not been that bad yet but .... i dunno i guess im just worrying about my body. one of my biggest fears with the abortion was infertility. :(

Has anyone had any experiance or has any advice they could lend me? I would be gratefull.

    Thank you.

I wish I could help you out, but I have no experience. In my opinion it sounds serious and you need to find a doctor who will look at you. Have you seen your gyno?

I dont have a gyno. im only 19, i'd never had an internal until i went back to the doctor when i first started bleeding. i didnt quite realise what she was going to do she told me to take of my pants and get up on the table... next thing i knew she had her fingers in side me :(

Its got heavyer... and im quite worried... *sigh*

Dear Fleassy, I am so sorry that you have to go through this :-(

    (((FLeassy)))

Maybe you should go to a gyno clinic, and ask them for an ultrasound? there are special ultrasound devices (that sounds weird now, but they show a lot) that go into the yoni, and you can basically see the inner stucture of the uterus. They did that once to me, and my doc was able to tell me at which part of the cycle I was, just through seeing the thickness of the utero-skin.
I am no professional, but bet they could see whether this is a normal bleeding, or if you have actually carried injuries form the procedure.

In my experience, you often have to push the panic buttons and tell your docs what to do, then they are doing a lot more.

    My thoughts are with you!

Sadly I had to have an abortion, but I was like 2 months. I dont believe I had any bleeding problems, but I also had used the pill and not the machine thingy. I would def. get it checked out by a Gyno.

I dont want to scare you or nothing but...
I know someone who isnt that fertile (she just never has been) and she randomly started to bleed very heavy for like 2months straight, like when she would stand up in the shower blood would be running down. But then it stopped one day, and hasnt happened since. It was very weird and she doesnt know what it was caused from. But she isnt really fertile, like her and her man can fuck and hed nut in her and nothing would happen. She isnt on the patch or anything.

    Weird.

MY POINT- go to gyno hun:)

In the US you go to the gyno when you turn 18 or become active, or at least you should. Don't be scared because you will be fine, but go to the doctor or a clinic. Do you have health insurance? Sorry to pry, but if you don't i'm sure there is some sort of clinic that would accept you.

If you can't get to the doctor right away check this out. http://www.afterabortion.com/

I am so sorry you are going through this

In the UK when have the National Health Service (NHS) which gives you free (well payed by taxes) health cover untill you are 18 or untill you come out of full time education. As im a student i get NHS service completely free. People over 18 NOT in education get free consultations and free GP but pay for prescriptions and private health care (example, dentists etc)

really i should go to a doctor but i just hate them so much, they always just stick me on pills and dont bother LOOKING at whats wrong :(

Its calmed down a little bit now. I spoke to my step mum and she said if its still heavy on monday i should go to the doctor so i think im going to do that.

Its just worrying because im used to irregular periods but its always at LEAST 4 weeks between them. Ive never over bled. I usually dont bleed much any way, my normal is one pad a day, on heavy days maybe 3 pads. im on my 3rd today at the moment so i guess its not too bad.

Honey, still, please see a doctor. They may have nicked the inside of the uterus during the procedure, a lot of things may have happened. (Basically, if they nicked you, they just go back in and do an other D&C, not fun, but neccesary) I am NOT saying this is what happened, but even if you don't like doctors, your future fertility is important.

Please don't put this off, scarring or an infection could effect your ability to have a child when you choose to. Please see a doctor, today.

I have to agree with Maggie and the others who say check it out...doesn't hurt to check it out cause if there's nothing wrong then all is good, however it can help put your mind at rest about what is happening to you and if there was anything going askew you would be in early enough to do something about it. I totally don't like going to doctors much myself but I figure that there are times that it is ok to harrass the bejesus out of them just to make sure that everythng is going ok like it is meant to.

lots of loving to you fleassy

even if you dont have one id say go find a good gynocologist... one that you feel comfortable with

I've been going since I was 15 and it's a pain in the ass I suppose, but it's not really too much of a deal; I understand that you're probably really scared, but if you let it go too much longer you could be setting yourself up for more problems.

i dont know anything about abortion really, but i can empathize with female issues and wondering "if" i should go to the doctor, what they will say...and the whole frightening aspect of it.

good luck, i hope everything is okay...get yourself checked out plllease!

Sounds like some post surgical hemmorhaging- If you don't want to go to a typical (allopathic) doctor, how about visiting an osteopathic doctor? They're more holistic about things.
If you can't afford a doctor, then you should go to a Planned Parenthood clinic. Do they have those near you? They can give you good care for a smaller price. From my experience, they're always really nice, and they talk with you more and get to know you and work on solving the problem.
