Possible Updates to Bare It!

From the Suggestions forum it has been suggested that a sub-forum for Bare It! be made for Barefooting. The goal would be to group all the Barefooting threads together, but still to keep them related to this forum where everyone is used to looking for them.

Having a sub-forum would also mean that posts may need to be moved to the approriate forums as needed; meaning that it may be time for moderator nominations!

A moderator is nothing to be scared about! Moderators are not in place to judge posters or squash all opposing viewpoints.

Moderator's primary goal is to keep a forum on-topic and interesting. A moderator should post insightful threads and replies.

Moderator duties include editing moving and deleting posts and threads. (We are not taking nominations for Site moderators here {people who ban users, etc})

So on to the good stuff:

From a quick reading of threads it seems that this forum has a bunch of 'regulars' and there isn't a lot of fighting going on in here..that's great! (More forums should be like this one!)

Do you know someone who is:

If so please post about them in this thread. If a moderator is chosen they must also be approved by Skip.

 

Sure, why not...I'd love to do nothing but listen to people talk about nudism and feet all day?

 

It would really be great if you were the moderator, Xao, but if I had to choose a member, I'd say:

"NudistMike07"

He seems to have a real good grasp of what nudism/naturism is truly about.

I think it's a great idea. I wouldn't mind doing it.

Holly HippyFreek2004 is also another wonderful choice. I think she'd do a terrific job as a mod.

 

I'd suggest Monosphere.. he's all that and more. He's fair, responsible, has insight, gets along with everyone, doesn't hold grudges and word has it that he's born naked!

He'd make a great mod.. if only because he makes a great friend.

 

Monosphere would make a wonderful moderator! I second everything that Velvet's said!

 

I'd vote for Holly (hippyfreek2004) for the barefoot forum, since she seems to take her barefooting so seriously . NudistMike would be a good mod for the main bare it forum.

Hmmm... I don't know what the responsibilities would come down to being on a regular basis (like, what if a moderator was to not log on for a few days?), but it sounds interesting. The PM I received said that I was on a list of people who seemed like they would make good moderators for a barefooting forum. Now, I know I have my "detractors" here and there (and also fans floating around, too) so I would leave it to others to say whether they would want me to be a moderator. If people do, I would be willing; if they don't, I have no problem with that either.


But I do think that Holly is a reasonable, nice person, and she's into feet so that gets her added points with me If it ends up being her, I'd be happy with that.

Thanks for the support. Depending on what I would I need to do and what my responsibilities were I would love to be the moderator of this forum. I also think id be better suited for the main bare it forums as im more of a nudist than a barefooter.

I think you all are great people and I would strive to be fair and balanced and make sure everything goes well here. I would like to know how others here feel about this and what they think as well.

 

exactly how many mods are you looking for? One for the barefooting forum? and one for the main section of the nudism forum?

From the sounds of it I think they are looking for two moderators, one for the barefoot forum and one for the bare it forum.

 

I disagree with this acton, I don't see why things can't be left as they are - i don't see the point in further fragmenting something that's not broken..

 

I guess its just a case of organization and so that each forum can concentrate on its own subject instead of having them bunched together into one big forum. Makes going through and editing and and moving and deleting things easier I would think.

 

Well, "barefooters" are really a whole different category than nudists. It just makes sense that they have a place to solely, discuss their lifestyle instead of throwing it in with a forum where others are discussing nudity. The two are not the same at all. Barefooters are not saying they go nude, and nudists don't necessarily go barefoot.

It would be like grouping a forum about, say "car racing" with a forum about "horseracing", they are both about "racing", but different all together.

 

It makes perfect sense, Dan. Barefooting is completely and totally different from nudism. It deserves to have it's own forum. And nudism deserves a forum that's not completely mucked over with barefooting threads!

I completely agree with the concept of a separate category for nudists and barefooters. From the very beginning when I first discovered this forum I was wondering why they were thrown together, but being a new and only an occasional poster, I didn't feel I should jump in and start suggesting changes. Most nudists that I know of and have seen seem to always be wearing some kind of shoes, and it's always been a mystery to me as to how you can be a "real nudist" but insist on covering your feet. In other words, in general, nudists are not barefooters, for whatever reason (I know there are exceptions). So I don't see that the two subjects are really related at all. Also, one major difference: barefooting in public is legal everywhere; nudity in public is not. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against nudists or nudity in any way whatsoever. I'm just saying nudity and barefooting are so different from each other that keeping the categories separate is an excellent idea.

Whereas I'm probably more of the nudist/naturist type of guy than just a barefooter.

If we're looking for mods for both, I think Holly is probably the best choice for mod for barefooting. I'd gladly step in as a mod for the nudism part of the forum.

 

I also think that the bare it forum would be better without all of the kinky/sex/fetish stuff because it belongs elsewhere and gives people who visit this forum the wrong ideas. I also beleive it would be a good idea to have a seperate forum for barefooters and nudism. I dont know if anybody has thought of this but maybe someone might think about having a shirtless/topfree forum for those who like to go without shirts because theyre not necessarily nudists either. Theres also alot of them out there like there are barefooters. I just thought that might be a good suggestion.
