Just thought a thread to post stuff thaty makes us happy when we feel sad might be a good idea. The Greatful Dead
not to be negative...but it's "Grateful". I don't get sad very often, but when I do, I like to walk alone in the woods.
Actually, when I am in a bad mood, my dog and my cat make me happy. They are both so cute and such pure, happy little spirits. They are always full of love and I cant help but be happy around them.
I've found that when I feel blue it helps to really exlore my feelings and figure out why I'm so blue, or just have some alone time where I can simply feel my sadness... then you develop a feeling about your feeling, a meta-feeling... I can feel happy (the meta-position) about the fact that I'm human and can feel sad. When that *bullshit* doesn't work, (it honestly usually does at least help a little), nature's great: walks/hikes, or pushing my body to its limit in some form of exercise. OR good sex. (Sorry to be base, but it's true...gotta love those endorphins!!!) SingflowerCat
I always listen to Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds when i'm feeling a bit sad, or if i'm just in the mood for smiling... Smiling is a very good thing btw! If youre sad, find a mirror and smile! You'll look so stupid, and then you'll laugh of your own stupidness!
Walking barefoot in a field with beautiful flowers around me singing Grateful Dead or the Polyphonic Spree. (usually the later) Either that or thinking about the future. There is so much we can do to have a positive influence on our world. Make love, not war!
Theese days, i'm looking forward to go back to my dads place, so i also can see my two nieces and my sister, who is a sweet and nice person... neat is the right word! neat neat neat! Saying neat also makes me glad! but one thing! I can't get over my ex! we were together for 5 days, and he was my very first boyfriend. I am addicted, and i want to be near him all the time, and it bugs me that i cant stroke his hair and think 'this hair, is mine to stroke whenever i want to'. Plus he's gotten a gazillion times hotter after he broke up! Just saw him wearing nothing but a towel. n-e-a-t! i miss him so!!!
I dance around my house to bob marley...actually...I do that anyway...but it makes me feel happy and free and sexy
that is sooo tru! when im sad i like to sit infront of a soppy movie with all my girlfriends, and we have a MASSIVE tub of ice cream with about 7 spoons and we just pig out and cry over the movie. such a great feeling however wierd it may sound. o yeah and cookies make EVERY1 feel happy. mmm cookies...
YES! Eating ice cream! Me and my friend always do that! like 'you wanna get all fat and gross?' -'yes!' 'awesome! you get spoons, i'll find the ice cream!' and then we eat and eat and eat, and then we look at each other, and we scream EWWWW and then we eat again. We eat a lot...:& Also, this is very much off topic, but i have to share it with you: This morning, two guys had a 'drink-as-much-milk-as-possible-in-the-shortest-amount-of-time'-contest, and one of them puked on the table! god! and he just laughed and laughed! Then everybody laughed! He drank two liters of milk in less than five minutes! insanity is at my school, and i love it! muahahahahahaa! *strips and runs away* XxX ~kim
Don't get sad really often... more pissed off or stressed out. Usually due to work commitments. But if I need a pick-me-up I'll put on some music (music brings my emotions out more than anything else) or a video ("What's Up Doc?" is my favourite uplifting movie)
If warm weather permits, i like to play in the rain to cheer me up and "de-stress". Crankin up the radio and just dancing to the music how ever it moves me. Cooking seems to mellow me out. just simple stuff like this.
