popularity contest

there have been tons of popularity contests here over the years, but they're all vaguely disguised as something else. "who is the prettiest?" "who is the smartest?" "who would you have a drink with?"

well, this is going to be the first popularity contest i can remember which is honest.


everyone gets two votes for anyone, for any reason (cool, good looking, funny, smart, whatever)

the votes will never be counted and there will never be closure on the topic.

no bashing each other.


you can't change your vote, but you can use your two votes on the same person, unless its yourself. you can only vote for yourself once (i'm looking at you, underwear)

my two votes go to jaitaiyai and tree-hugger, for no particular reason.

 

i hadn't even thought to vote for myself, but hey, i like the idea.

People can't change their vote? HA! Til their *other* buddy comes in and points out that they were forgotten. People will be adding votes and all kinds of shit.

Imma say the two most popular people here are Cate and Piaf.....BUT that's not my vote. Simply scoping the number of profile views they get is a pretty clear indicator, IMO.

Popular is something all its own. Has nothing to do with smart, pretty, athletic, etc. Sure those things can help, but popular is something people generally either get or they don't...

Just sayin'.....
