I don't even know why this happened. I don't think a reason was given other than that the dogs were, "a safety issue." I don't know what the person receiving the warrant had done, but cops apparently found 3 grams on them. There is video of the dogs, before and after the "event" but I'm not going to post them, they're terrible. Edit: The video of the dogs can be found at the page of the link below, so if you don't want to see that sort of thing, you probably shouldn't click on the link. Here's an excerpt from Infowars; "officers serving a DWI warrant the day before the defendant was scheduled to appear at a court hearing regarding the charge entered the multifamily dwelling and immediately shot and killed the residents’ three dogs, two of which were puppies only a few months old. Three bullets were fired into each of the canine’s heads, execution style. One was cowering under a table in an act of submission when he was neutralized."
Bastards...this isn't the first time I've heard of such a thing. Motherfuckers killed my pet spider when they raided my house. That little dude was cool.
Disgusting. Another case of over zealous LE flaunting power and authority to command submission. So three dogs had their lives taken for the sake of three grams... yeah, that's justifiable. Sorry but the whole little puppies being a "safety issue" just doesn't sit well with me. That's our tax dollars hard at work right there.
Fucked up shit. The wrong side has guns. I'm not reading this one, I beleive it, I've seen all the videos of officers shooting cowering, kenneled corgi's in the heads... don't need to see more puppy gore. I mean, of course the officers *assuming they have a valid reason to be there, not a bit of plant* need to protect themselves, if a crazed pit rushes them, by all means, shoot it.... but corgi killings are a totally different thing, it shows who should and who should not have guns.
It was just a fuzzy black house spider. He was a decent size, about the size of a nickel? Anyway, he lived in the corner by the front door and he was bug security. That little dude kept fat and happy on intruders and he was very welcome. Fuckers squished him...I can't even remember what they used but it was a blunt object I'm sure belonged to us. I've had lots of pet spiders since, spiders come and go, but those bastards murdered that poor little dude.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbwSwvUaRqc&feature=related"]YouTube - Columbia Mo SWAT Raid 2/11/2010. Cops Shoot Pets With Children Present oh it's lovely going to college here... EDIT: I just watched this video a second time since the incident came about and I can't help but feel extreme rage. this is a prime example of how police officers in missouri act - they feel like they have the right to do whatever they want and they abuse their power whenever possible. The cops ended up finding a single bag of pot (no more than a few grams) and paraphernelia in this guy's house. They dropped the charges once they realized how much shit they could get it, but they have been sued, I believe. The warrant was for drug distribution and child endangerment - the columbia police department has been sued for child endangerment...kind of ironic.
What a lovely story. I've had a cop threaten to shoot my dog cause he barked at him when he ran through my yard without warning. My dog was on the leash and sitting down next to me, didn't even get up. He put his hand on his gun and everything. If a cop shot my dog I would break into his house and shoot his kids.
I was going to post the same thing as another example of that kind of bullshit. I guess you're a bit closer to it than I am (here in St. Louis); and so I'm glad you posted it. They usually say some shit about the dogs threatening or some crap like that (puppies are threatening!). I wish I knew the current fallout from that CoMo indident. Seems sue-worthy.
if i was a cop it wouldnt take much for me to shoot a dog and if the drunk driver had killed a kid i would shoot him too
that's why people like you and i, and a lot of other cops shouldn't be cops. cops shouldn't be everyday people - i mean they should, but they should also be extremely level headed. they should be made to go through stress and anger management classes every year (regardless if they are stressed or angry) and their training should be longer than 1 year (I don't even think it is this long to begin with)
For some reason I'm not mad... I usually get mad at hearing things like this... I'm just so used to it now.... Don't get me wrong I'm still sad for the dogs, but the media has taken away all the scariness.
Really, cap'n? for me what's scary is people NOT being scared of police who can do this. I totally understand putting down a threatening, unchained dog. If you're serving a warrant and get rushed by a pit, by all means shoot it.(it could just want to lick your face, but you have to weigh risks and protect yourself) But I don't care HOW many corgi's there are, or kenneled puppies, or anything else. If you're after someone for a DUI to PROTECT other people, (the dogs lives aside) discharging a firearm in a residence with unknown other individuals possibly present, in a resedential area, is reckless, stupid, and endangering to all.
lol america is a fucked up place. if you're poor you're a criminal in the eyes of the law. if you smoke pot, you are probably violent and need to be subdued. if you have a dog, it's gonna die when the police raid your house for the above two reasons
police gona die if they raid my house.. they will get lost in a maze .. of rooms.. They will die. End of story...
