Are there any known speicies of psilocybin containing mushrooms that are poisonous. I know there are a few poisonous species that resemble psilocybes but i havent ever heard of a psilocybin mushroom actually being poisonous. Is there a test, since a spore print will result in a psilocybin positive test?

    My books say no.

All the "poisons" present are hallucenogenic.

Thanks Geck:). Hows the leg? Oh, and whats the name of your book and who wrote it? I really need a mycology book for use in the field while huntin wild.
Also, when hunting while shroomies (preferably p. cubenis) what is the best time of day to hunt. Ive heard that early early morning around 3 or so till sunrise is the best time. Any particular time, or just not during the heat of the day or what? Thanks for any more info.

Who would have known that Hurricanes fix broken legs?

"Hallucenogenic and posionus Mushroom Field Guide"
    It's old and outdated, though.

We pick 'em at all times of the day and night. That last up to several days once sprouted. It's a myth that they can only pe picked in the morning.

A sunny day after a rainy one is best.

Well, I got about a pund this morning, I went about 10:00 AM eastern. I live in South Carolina. I usually go after a heavy dew or if it rained the previous night, and try to get out and looking before it hits 80 degrees. Mainly for my comfort though, I have found cubies at 4 in the afternoon before, but they were a little dry and unhealthy looking.
