Plus-size patchy clothing...

Okay girlies...I've seen an increase in the number of things you are all making. And I was wondering...

I'm HORRIBLE at sewing. I always skipped home-ec classes in school. My mom can't teach me. And if I'm going to spend $300 on clothing for next school year, I'd like it to go to you fine people rather than Lane Bryant.

So I was wondering...Would any of you be willing to make me some cool skirts and things for next school year? I can't pull off the apron-top look, I'm afraid (back fat ) but the skirts and everything looks so hella cool!

My budget for school clothing will be tight, and won't be available until like late August, but I wanted to see if there was much interest now before anything was set in stone...

Many of the mamas who have websites to sell their clothes can make personalized things if you look around on some of those maybe they would make you something?

This has a list to many websites that sell cool patchwork clothes and the similar and almost all of them can be custom made...you have to surf all the sites for good prices though.

 

I can just see all the mama's on here creating a fashion revolution!!!

 

I could make you some clothing. Skirts, pants, tops, whatever you need. And as a plus size mama, here''s some advice: wear apron tops over t shirts or tank tops. That's what I do. That way I can wear them year round too. PM me if you want to chat about getting some clothes from me.

Really? And that looks okay? I just made my first apron top tonight and I thought it looked nice, but that I might be too big to wear them. Too bad, too because I did a really nice job. Hmmm... t-shirts you say. I'm thinking body suits would do too.

Or perhaps to get a denim jacket and wear it over the whole job...you know put on the apron top (long sleave shirt if its colder) and then the jacket... I love the way that denim jackets look with hip clothes

 

I wear t shirts under mine as well, especially for cooler weather. i like how it looks. i have a couple of halter tops with short puffy sleeves that looks great under apron tops. my dh jokingly calls it my heidi look, heh-heh, cuz i always wear my hair in two big long braids and my dress looks like a little german frau, or swiss girl with those puffy sleeve top, lol! i just need the beer steins to be complete now, lol.

what are your favourite colours? maybe i could help if you don't mind waiting a bit for a skirt (i'm really slow right now, got 3 kids, one is a 6 month old baby, i don't get anything done fast these days, heh-heh)

Well, the thing is...prices...I'm worried about how much I would be spending...and...could we collaborate on a couple of details on maybe tops? Because I like sleeves...at least something to cover my shoulders...I'm weird

im glad! i can pretty much make anything anyone requests...its my hidden talent haha so you just tell me what you would like and ill see what i can do!

 

hmm...I want a spinny skirt, about mid-calf...Two longer skirts...Maybe a dress...like a summer dress, but with sleeves...and a couple of tops...short sleeves....I detest long-sleeve...I'm constantly pushing them up...brightly coloured material...any designs really... I'll give you my measurements by pm....we can discuss how much you would charge and all that... You're so cool!
