please send prays for our cat Rock

There is something in his stomach the vet said if he ate yesterday that it should have passed. And it hasn’t, so that worries her too she is going to give him a laxative and have him spend the night. if that doesn't work they will have open him up and get that out

thanks guys I have been sick all night. we find out today if the laxative helped pass whatever is in his stomach. if not they have to put a tube down his throat and pull that out. or open him up. lets hope it passed or worse case they go down with a tube instead of opening him up

what, did they take an x-ray to find the "something" in his stomach?

i'm sure he'll be all right, hang in there jen. it really sucks when your pet is sick or injured.

 

yes she took an x-ray and saw something in his stomach. she thinks it could be a hairball that's why she gave him a laxative cause he has not been pooping all week. like it's built up inside him. if that doesn't work they have to some how get that out.. that's why she wants another x-ray done, to be sure what it is

Same thing happened to one of my dogs. He luved bones and he ate one and the shards were cutting him up inside.

They cut him open...


And hes fine

 

they just called, I asked how he was doing, they didn't really say. she wanted my moms work number. so I'm still waiting for my mom to call me with news

 

My mom just called. The laxative help push what was in his stomach out. They did another x-ray and everything looked good, he has not went yet today. But I'm sure he is just nervous. They are running some test on his pee to make sure there are no infections. We can pick him up this afternoon if all goes well :biggrin:

I'm so glad we can take him home today, it's so weird not seeing him in his sleeping spots
