Found some tips at a good source, dunno if you still need 'em. Or if it's the same thing... Anyways if you need it... ""A dry atmosphere or wet soil may cause the blade tips to turn brown. Brown leaf tips also may indicate a nutrient deficiency, but in this case, more tissue will turn brown than just the end tips. Chlorosis and necrosis are two terms which describe symptoms of disease in plants. Chlorosis means lacking green (chlorophyll). Chlorotic leaves are pale green to yellow or white. Chlorotic leaves often show some recovery after the necessary nutrient is supplied. Necrosis means that the tissue is dead. Dead tissue can be gold, rust, brown, or gray. It is dry and crumbles when squeezed. Necrotic tissue cannot recover. Symptoms of deficiencies of either N, P, or K have the following in common: all involve some yellowing and necrosis of the lower leaves, and all are accompanied by red/purple colour in stems and petioles. The simplest way to remedy these deficiencies is to fertilize with a complete fertilizer containing nearly equal proportions of three nutrients."" - http://www.1stmarijuanagrowerspage.com/how-to-grow-marijuana.html#c9-4
Many thanks for all your help and research. I just had to bin yet another plant !! It just seemed to get bad over night, it was ok yesterday !? I will follow your instructions and see how it goes. How young is too young to add nutrients ?? The one I just binned was about 12", the other two in the cupboard are only about 3" and I'm not liking the looks of those already. Thanks again for all your help, it is greatly appreciated !! greenfingers
Course I'll help!... when I can, hehe... Age is not by height. I recommend for your next grow log everything in a journal. Just be really really OCD. Ex: what day you start germ, what day they are planted, how and when they are watered... Heighth means nothing towards age. You could have two plants the same age and one half a foot taller, like mine are! Technically, you shouldn't need to fertilize for the first 4-6 weeks. And what fertilizers you use are your choice according to how available you want the nutrients to be for the plant... It's better to underfertilize than over fertilize... Integrate one plant, see how it does, if good then do it to the others... Originally I started with 9, now I have 2(stupid cat!), but I was basically doing a science lab with them. Grouped 'em in pairs and had a single 'experiment X', which was everything done to one... It's basically trial and error, I think it's best to stick with the same strain once you've perfected it... Anything else?
