I get off in 5 minutes, and as soon as I get home I'm going to run across town and back because I really feel like it. I think its about a 12-mile round trip.... and then I'm going to eat and play basketball and read more about Pistol Pete Maravich and then dream about being like him and then probably go pitch at the baseball field across the street and go to sleep around two. I love being single and living on my own. What are your plans for tonight?
I shot some hoops today. My plans for the night include listening to Brian Eno's "Music for Airports" until I can no longer withhold the metal orgasm... After the release my brain will be splattered on the wall... Such a sweet death it shalt be!
i pulled a 10 hour day, am going to cook some dinner, then when my roommate gets back we have a beer-league slow-pitch softball game to go to.
LeBron James is from my hometown. I know people who know him... which makes me thuper kewl, or something. :H
Hmm, don't know anyone in basketball... I know a fair bit of football players, though. I know Michael and Marcus Vick. Michael went to my high school, then my coach was actually Tommy Reamon, of 1974 Pittsburgh Steelers fame... and I know Aaron Brooks, as well, who is Micheal and Marcus' cousin, that plays for the saints. Last time I talked to Michael was last year, about the time his brother got busted for coke and that was all over the news. Then, Tommy's son, Tommy Jr., was just drafted and is going to be Virginia Tech's Quarterback... Jon Stewart, of the daily show, was also a soccer coach at my high school... Those boys can get still into some shit, despite how much I wish they'd give all of it up and look at how far they've come. Nobody should be getting into that with all the kids I meet that look up to them. They really came a long ways from their beginnings and did a lot for their families... Oh yeah, and I also went to school with Charlie Byrd's (the Jazz guitarist) grandson.
Hmm... I'm thinking about leaving for TN tonight or tomorrow morning, maybe. Meg is already on the road right now. I might stop by George Gruhn's, in Nashville, for a day, and jam out.
Yeah, at Food-Lion. We both have the address for this food-lion. If she's not there when I get there, I'll just camp there till Roo's gates open, I guess. http://www.bonnaroo.com/2007-lineup I still need to get groceries anyway... so I'll be able to take my sweet-ass time. Once my laundry is dried and all, I just have to toss my stuff in the car. I'll be back on the fora sometime after Monday. I'd bring the laptop, like I usually do on trips, but I really don't want to have thousands of dollars worth of stuff in my car unattended with who knows how many people around. Haha, I really don't like letting people freak out on here anymore, if I'm not on here...
I won't freak out. Good luck. Don't let the hippies eat you. I don't know if I know anybody famous.
we have Pistol Petes Pizza down here in the south west. it's similiar to Peter Piper Pizza but not as good quality. and Peter Piper Pizza is like Chuck E Cheese but with out the mouse.
() () He was a basketball player, probably the greatest ballhandler that's ever lived. I've been reading a biography of him these past few days. He died on the court...
