Based on that article the bar was overcapacity so some kind of enforcement was justified.
However, do we know if any other bars were overcapacity that night or recently? Is attendance kept track of in the same way in other area bars? In other words, do we know why this particular bar that particular night?
Also, why did some liquor authority raid the place? Isn't that the job of the fire department?

    Well,
What I have to say is who in the F in Pittsburgh says yall?
The proper term is yinz, as in "I'm sure yinz heard...."

    Other establishments raided:
    Controversy - Adult entertainment.
    Lefty's Bar - bar
Galaxy Lounge - Hip Hop pool hall.
    Pitch - Sports bar.
7101 Lounge - some kind of Hip Hop? bar
    Tag's Bar - ??
Shales Cafe - Shut down due to no liquor license.
    Heights Tavern - Restaurant
    Darbeas Tavern - Bar
Upscale Elite Sports Lounge - No health permit.

Looks like some jag offs are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Lesbian bar across from where I lived in SF, got raided one night and all the women wearing men's suits were arrested!! That was in '61 or '62. I was the only man in there that night, shooting pool with a lesbian friend. I guess with the current dick heads in the government, that shit's coming back.:tongueclosed:
