Hi everybody, just wondering if anyone knows of a good thing to help clear up infections quickly. Ive had the piercing *nipple* almost 2 years and never had any problems until yesterday. Ive got antibiotics off the doctor but they never seem to work and the piercing is absolutly murdering! Thanks, Julie-Anne x 0_0 x
You could try sea salt soaks and make sure you are keeping it clean. If you are wearing cheap jewelry that could be a problem as well.
Ive tried cleaning it with all the normal things like salt and over the counter things but this time round they dont seem to be working. I really dont want to take it out if i can avoid it. I never wear cheap jewellery only ever real stuff bought off my piercer.
i had my nipples peirced and whenthey got infected i tried everything and nothing worked so i just didnt whenever i got the chance i didnt wear a bra, took the jewerly out and wash the infected area and a couple days passed the infection cleared up.
Im avoiding taking them out as much as possible. Ive been taking them out while in the shower to fully clean them but then putting them back in straight away. I dont want to risk them closing up. As for not wearing a bra its not been on if ive not been at work I cant stnd anythign touching my nipple.
Is it possible that whatever aftercare products you are using are irritating it? If you are using any type of ointments on it then that could cause a problem as well, especially with it being infected, it won't be able to drain properly. For my piercings I have always used a mild anti-bacterial soap and did sea salt soaks for 15 minutes twice a day and that has worked for me everytime so far.
avoid anything with alcohol whatsoever.. your best friend is sea salt. 1/4 teaspoon to a cup of cooled, boiled water. 10-15minutes twice a day. if you were using salt in a different way.. youve been to a doctor.. but have you been to your piercer? a lot of doctors really are pretty clueless when it comes to fixing piercing issues
not been back to the piercer yet, dont really have time with the job i do... but it is on my list of things to do.
