I am scared to shit of falling from a high place and of being in elevators (after watching the movie "Speed" with Dennis Hopper and Keanue Reeves). I get mad recuring dreams about just being in the air, and then quickly falling, but than I wake up, before I dream of hitting the fround. I suppose a psychoanylast would listen to that dream and tell me that I'm afraid of failiure, or am an insecure peson, but I don't think that's the case.

I agree with Raving Sultan. Face your fears in your dreams, and then it will be easier for you to face them in reality.

I used to fear a lot of things, and I forced myself to face them all. Now, I am yet to experience something I fear.

They say that if you have one of those dreams where you feel like you're falling, if you hit the ground before you wake up, you actually die.

It's not actually true. It's just a myth, I hope.

I agree. I used to have this awful nightmare that someone was chasing me, and I was very afraid. One night when I had the nightmare, I turned around and faced who was chasing me. The irony of it is was that it was me chasing myself the whole time. Anyhow, after I turned around and faced up to my fear, I never had that bad dream again. :D

I used to also have scary dreams where someone is chasing me, trying to kill me and stuff. I never like turn and look at the person but what I started to do in my dreams- and actually ended up being able to control and realise I was dreaming (I guess a lucid dream of sorts) is I'd say "I'm gonna fly now" and I'd start flying and landing on top of buildings and flying again.

The dreams became less scary and I haven't had one in a long time.

the old dream (or feeling) where you feel like you are drowning, and it really does feel like you can't breathe..that one has always scared the crap out of me. One time, I really thought I was gonna die before I woke..I believed I was actually being smothered, it was sooo real.
