been there. was pretty good fun but i get more enjoyment out of chillin with the people i go backpacking with and only goin like 6 or 7 miles per day as opposed to the 10+ i did at philmont. over all though i enjoyed the experience
I have a friend who went twice. The first time he said it was a, "once in a lifetime opportunity." It's been two years since he's been and he's aching to go back. Go if you can, it sounded and looked amazing.
Oh, man, Philmonst was great. I went last August, but it was only the seven day short trek. I wish we could've gotten a longer trek but it was still an awesome experience.
