hey all.. idk if this thread is a great idea.. but alot of people seem to confuse pills.. there are tons of pills that contain OxyCodone/Oxycodone HCl so i wanted to start a list.. one, because im curious as to what other pharms contain it.. and two, im sure it will be a useful reference. there are similar opiods derived from Thebaine, just like oxy, but we will keep that seperate i guess.. please feel free to add to the list with a post Brand name & Generic pharm's containing OxyCodone: -OxyCodone -OxyContin -OxyIR -OxyFAST -OxyNORM -Endone -Endocet -Endodan -Roxicet -Roxiprin -Percolone -Percocet (acetaminophen) -Percodan (asprin) -RoxyCodone -Supeudol -Tylox
OxyNorm is available in 5, 10, and 20 mg capsules and tablets; also as a 1 mg/1 ml liquid in 250 ml bottles and as a 10 mg/1 ml concentrated liquid in 100 ml bottles. Percocet tablets, oxycodone with acetaminophen (paracetamol), are routinely prescribed for post-operative pain control. Tablets are available with 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 or 15 mg of oxycodone and varying amounts of acetaminophen. Oxycodone is also used in treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain. Both immediate-release and sustained-release oxycodone are now available (OxyNorm and OxyContin in the UK). There are no comparative trials showing that oxycodone is more effective than any other opioid. In palliative care, morphine remains the gold standard.[6] However, it can be useful as an alternative opioid if a patient has troublesome adverse effects with morphine. Roxicodone is a generically made oxycodone product designed to have an immediate release effect for rapid pain relief, and is available in 5 (white), 15 (green), and 30 (light blue) mg tablets. Generic versions of Roxicodone may differ in color from the brand name tablets. OxyContin is available in 10 mg (white), 15 mg (black), 20 mg (pink), 30 mg (brown), 40 mg (orange), 60 mg (red), and 80 mg (green) in the U.S. and Canada, and 160 mg (blue) in Canada only. Because of its sustained-release mechanism, the medication is typically effective for eight to twelve hours.[3] The 160 mg tablets were removed from sale due to problems with overdose, but have been re-introduced for limited use under strict medical supervision. On October 18, 2006, the FDA gave approval for four new dosage strengths, to wit, 15, 30, 45, and 60 mg. After removing the colored outer coating, which weighs 8 mg (approx.), the mass of a standard 80 mg OxyContin tablet is 256 mg (approx.): 80 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride and 176 mg (approx.) of inactive material, making the formulation 31% pure (approx.) by weight.[citation needed] It was first introduced to the US market in May 1939 and is the active ingredient in a number of pain medications commonly prescribed for the relief of moderate to heavy pain, either with inert binders (oxycodone, OxyContin) or supplemental analgesics such as acetaminophen (Percocet, Endocet, Tylox, Roxicet) and aspirin (Percodan, Endodan, Roxiprin ). It is also sold in a sustained-release form by Mundipharma in Germany (Oxygesic), and in the United States by Purdue Pharma under the trade name OxyContin (Oxycodone Continuous release) as well as generic equivalents, and instant-release forms Endone, OxyIR, OxyNorm, Percolone, OxyFAST, Supeudol, and Roxicodone. More recently, ibuprofen has been added to oxycodone (Combunox).
ahh very cool thats some good info also; thanks man, i wasnt sure what happened to the 160mg oxycontin's, i just heard they had stopped making them because of overdose problems. someone had told me they still make them, but i didnt belive him lol :|
Yeah, it really can be a good source of information, just gotta watch out for hoax's and false information. For the most part you can tell what is good info and what isn't....most of the true and real information has links to the sources they got the info from. I have heard of all of those listed though.
read in post above that the 160's have been back around since 06.has anyone ran up on any .i haven't seen them for years.not even the folks around that rob pharms have had any and they get all kind of wild shit
