perfect tie dye

    so everytime i tie dye a shirt some of the white shows, anybody now any tactics to make it all color and no white?

    if you don't like the white parts you could already start with a coloured shirt in first place or (what always happens to me) open the ties after you let it soak in the dye but before you try to get the access colour out. then the white parts will be in a lighter colour that you used for your shirt.
    i hope that somehow makes sense.

    krinkle, are you dip dyeing or direct application dyeing?
    Some white defines the piece. too much white can be:
    binding is too tight
    dye applied to drier material
    timidity about dipping or applying and leaving gaps

    I do the dip dying and use the squirt bottle things. Yea I guess the white isnt bad, i think i meant to say the dye is too light. like it seems faded. but im using the right kind of dye and at least i think im doing everything right?

    ok, what type of dye (acid/ analine?), what fibers, how long is your cure time, etc.
