So I have been studying PLR a lot lately, and one of my friends who was awfully curious about her past life, asked me to hypnotize her. So I did.

In her hypnotism, I found her to be a woman named Leah in her past life, very kind and loving woman. There were a whole bunch of interesting facts about her, but too much to write here.

So back in time, I asked Leah how she died. She told me she was shot. I was like, ok.. weird.. I wasn't exactly expecting that. Then my cellphone went off at the most inconvenient time and I had to take her out of hypnosis fast.

A few days later, I hypnotised my friend again. I talked to Leah again, and I asked her where she was. She told me home. I asked her about home, she said where people cared about her. I asked her where home was, she told me heaven. I was confused, because I started to think how can she be both reincarnated and in heaven at the same time.

Before I continue, I would like to add I know that hypnosis and the belief of reincarnation is not taught in the Christian churches of today, but this is my best example of how I can proove reincarnation, which was taken from the books in the Bible by the churches, and how hypnosis can be helpful in a persons life. Yes, btw for those of you who are curious, sometimes hypnosis is common in CM. And reincarnation is believed by pretty much everyone in CM.

Here is what I have from the session:
    Me (M):What is your name?
    Leah(L): Leah.
M: Can you tell me what year we're in? (Last time she brought me to the year 1963 where she had a boyfriend named Josh)
    L:1968
(blablabla random facts, i think the year is right I can't remember)
M:Leah, can you tell me how you died once again?
    L: I was shot.
M: Did Josh shoot you? (Josh was her boyfriend who was abusive)
    L: No.
    M: Who shot you?
    L: I shot myself.
M: Where do you live now, after your death?
L: Where people care about me.
    M: Where is that?
    L: Heaven.
    M: Who shot you?
    L: I did.
M: Leah, what is heaven like?
L: It's really bright, like a little town.
    M: Is Jesus there?
L: Yeah. (something i couldn't understand, she was mumbling)
M: How are you talking to me?
L: Someone came and got me.

Anyway, I went deeper into it and I know the common rule in Christianity...
    Suicides don't go to heaven.

I think that's extremely ignorant. So how was Leah the incarnate of my friend and at the same time in heaven? What about the more well known idea.. suicides are stuck in between heaven and earth.

So is it possible that half of my friend soul is in heaven? Leah, doesn't know she is already reincarnated. She has no idea that she has a life on earth. But she does know, she's in heaven.

By the way, if anyone wants to help me with this study of mine, I'd gladly hypnotize you on the conditions you have a webcam, microphone, speakers, and preferably MSN.

    hmm

first of all, the part about heaven being like a little town is odd. Whatever "heaven" is, why would it be so similar to our lives on this very earth? is that just what ppl attribute it to, b/c they really dont know what it is like?

I lean towards reincarnation myself, but at any rate, suicide isn't a good thing. Suicide is obviously an act that would chalk up some karmic debt.

when you ask is half of your friends soul is in heaven, no, I dont think that is possible. then again im a little skeptical of hypnosis, and know nothing about it.

    Gnostic Gospel of Saint Thomas...

"heaven is within and all around"

... it's a lil complicated to wrap your head around at first yes i know ... but we are all already there... :O ... we just can't see it... it's a paralell dimension ;) or so that line explains by my interpretation...

it sounds to me like you should watch two of my fav documentaries ... one is "The Elegant Universe" and the other is "What the Bleep do we know?" merge what the two teach you and your life experience will suddenly become something pretty interesting :) The link between science and spirituality, the material and spirutual realm lies at the Quantum Mechanic Realm...

Gospels will suddenly be a lil more intersting to read too

That's where the above interpretation above is formulated :)

Why don't you let me hypnotise you neo? I think the best thing to do when you're skeptical of something is to try it yourself.

I believe in reincarnation as a Christian, because.. reincarnation (omg i can't believe i have to explain this for the 10,000 time.) ... reincarnation, was taken from the books in the Bible, because the church was afraid that if people believed in reincarnation they would waste their lives figuring hey i have so many more anyway, which isn't true, because of karma, balblabla.

Of course, they failed. There are still scriptures in the Bible relating to reincarnation..
    for example...
Matthew 17: 11-13 "Jesus replied, 'To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.' Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist."

Therefore, John the Baptist was the reincarnate of Elijah.

Let's do it then, do you have a webcam and a microphone?

I should tell you though.. a lot of people have the wrong ideas on hypnosis... a lot of people think it's a deep sleep. A lot of people think once in hypnosis they're stuck.

The truth is your subconcious mind is alert, and you can't do anything that you're not willing to do. Sometimes it's not always a deep sleep. Sometimes it's the subconcious taking over. There are different forms of hypnosis and anyone can be hypnotised.

I've never had a hypnosis that didn't work. A past life regression therapy did fail once however but we did find that it was the man's first life which explained his sorrow in the world, and he never felt like he belonged here. He saw spirits and things constantly, he always said to me before "I don't belong here, I hate it here, I just feel like I was somewhere better."

    I found it crazy.

Alright sorry that was way off topic.

Elijah never actually died, he was "raptured", which seems to me like an important part of reincarnation. Also, prophetic texts stated that Elijah would return to Earth as a harbinger to Jesus.

I don't think having you type under hypnosis would work.. considering I don't think you would want to move, your eyes would be shut the whole time, and even if you did by time I said what is your name you'd type:

    ssaobr

    and i can't pronounce that :(

Actually FedUp, if I took you back to your past life I have a feeling you would have been someone who was killed by the Christians.

But we can always, always find out... ;)

I think this whole thing is bogus.
Besides, what good is finding out about "past lives".
    The past is gone.

About as useful as finding out what the lint in your laundry is made of.

Mhhhmmm... Right... Cause you don't have to know where you came from to know where the #$%$ your going...???

Come on dood, these are all HISTORICAL matters... If that's how you feel about the past... why are you even here and reading such issues?

    The disc just scratched again...

I wish i could be hypnotised. (no webcam etc)

I don't see why Suicides can't go to heaven. Does it actually say that in the Bible?

    LoL.
Like I said earlier, finding out about your past life, assuming it is even possible is about as useful as finding out the composition of lint in your laundry.

Do you have to know the composition of lint before you start your next laundry?

Hmmm I dont quite know what to think about past life regression. Can a past life really be remembered? What exactly is a past life?

Past life. This would suggest that we have died and been reborn. But what is we? Is we something that dies and is born again? Is we the body that rots into the ground and feeds the worms? Then, surely not. We are surely not born again.

Am I this body? what is I? I'm not this leg, or this hand, am I? Am I this brain? Will I be there if you looked inside this head? Do I even exist? If I dont exist, then, I can't die, can I? Then, surely I have lived before.

Is I this awareness that is aware of itself? Are words useless here? Are questions useless here? Is I the same as you, we and us? Are we all the same? So, we're all one. If we're all the same then, surely, we never died, and we were never born. There are no past lives, because we are alive, right now. Now, we're now.

    Questions bring more questions.

Please disregard anything I say if doesn't resonate with you.

if we do in fact have past lives, then reincarnation would have to be held as true.

and if reincarnation is true, there would have to be some inherent substance/energy that we are composed of, that transcends physical death. if we died in the past and we were reborn again, what is to stop us from continuing this cycle in the future? are we eternal? what does this mean? how is the past not important? everything that has happend in the past is why I am who I am today, and knowing what happened in the past is why I know who I am.

how would this knowledge not be useful?
