ok my old father advised me never to drink a drink I liked the taste of, as doing so would lead to drunkeness, I should find a drink I really couldnt stand and only drink that also to beware of strong rum and those who drink much of it also never go and visit women of the night as that can lead you to have a poor opinion of women kind , and also you may become a bad sort . also that a wise women was like a mermaid and so rare a man could spend his whole life looking and never find her have you had any gems of parental advice
My dad once told me something his dad had said to him whenever leaving the house ... "don't fall over". I was so convinced that this was a totally worthless piece of advice that as I left my house that fine winter's morning to walk to school I adopted an air of swaggering superiority, and slipped over on some black ice.
wise words showmet I would stroke my beard if still had it to the dont fall over as you leave your house advice
another one from my father "few people wish at the end of their lives that they had been accountants or worked in a bank " but many peaple regret not living a life of adventure . also if your a bank manager or a wild sailor you will end in the same place in the end
wise words were you told to avoid rum and the company of strong rum drinkers I feel thats good advice , but sadly in todays world young people are not told of the evils of such
If you forget everything else I ever tell you remember this..... My dad actually say that every time he's about to impart his wisdom on me. Problem is now I've stopped listening cos I know in a few days time I'll have to forget it for something else
I used to tell my friend not to fall over before they left my house.. I would be the one that fell over though. My dad always advised me not to go out with a man who owned a rot-wiler (sp??). Humm not sure why.
