So, I'm going to be constructing some paper mache flowers as a prop for an upcoming photoshoot. The lady that I am working with and myself were discussing how to make the stems of the flowers. Currently, our only idea is to use a dowel... but I was hoping for something more bendable. However, I still need this to be cost effective... I'm definitely in no place to be spending a fortune on materials, and I also don't want it to be incredibly time consuming (meaning, no sewing!)

    Any ideas?

Keep in mind, I want the flowers (after all the petals and what not are added) to be about 3 feet tall. Also, the stem will have to support the petals and everything else, so it can't be just a simple flimsy piece of wire.

i don't know if it's too late, but wire is definitely your best route...either thick copper wire (although it's hollow, so it kinks, and hard to bend) or several strands of floral wire twisted together
