So hypothetically, I have this friend (not me) who used to smoke a lot but quit because every time he would smoke he would have panic attacks. He smoked occasionally for 1-2 years and then every day for abt. 3 years. Pretty much he just quit smoking because the panic attacks would take all enjoyment out of something he really enjoyed doing. He quit for over a year. He tried it again a couple times after this period only to have the same result, no matter what frame of mind, location, etc.
So, this guy tried some xanax before he smoked with a friend (not me) for the first time in a really long time. This did not cause him to have an attack. My friend asked me my opinion on this. What do you all think? Is it ok to take something like this to be able to smoke? I did not tell him anything, I told him I would think about this. Anyone have experience in a simular situation?

putting (not me) after everytime you say your friend then its obviously you.

anyways i know the heart rate can become faster and blood flow will be faster also after smoking but panic attacks could just be from being a really really paranoid dude. but it could be hundreds of things.

I just meant when I put "(not me)" into the paragraph because I have a prescription for antianxiety medication and I wouldn't want certain people to think that I have provided my medication to someone else, which is not the case in this senario., That is only what I meant. I also noted this because I have refered to my own prescription in other posts in a different forum. Sorry to confuse anyone.

never a good idea to purposely mix medicine(especially medicine with psychological effects) with weed. if weed normally causes panic attacks for him, sorry to say, he should stop tokin'. in the mostly biased studies which say that weed leads to psychosis, these are the kinds of situations that were actually substanciated.

actually, xanax is anti-anxiety medicine - the perfect drug escape from panic attacks. but they have a come-down and hangover where the effects are reversed pretty much. so theyre easy to get addicted to if you are actually covering up problems with it.

there will be no negative reactiosn with a little xanax and weed, its not like mixing xanax with alchohol.

yeah i get panic attacks and sometimes the fear of having one due to the paranoia from weed could make me have one. it never has though... but if it did, i wouldn't smoke around certain people n stuff....
    xanax helps.

Xanax with weed is one of my favorite combinations.
