Well I've had insomnia for a few years and I'm only 19... It's not severe, but I usually get about 3 to 5 hours of interrupted sleep a night (i usually wake up every 15-30 minutes and can't fall back asleep again). Anyways, I've got the go-ahead from the moms to smoke in the house before I sleep. And guess what! It works! I can sleep a full 8 hour night after smoking a jay. I just have to wait until the euphoric high is over before laying down or else my mind wanders...It really helps me to relax.

Anyways, last night I smoked one before bed but I went to bed early, while I was still 'very high'. I woke up about an hour later to get up to get some water and I had a very strong sense of panic for some reason. I tried to calm myself down but it was no use. I couldn't slow my breathing, I was just terrified. Not of anything in particular, just my brain going crazy for some reason. Eventually I was able to lay down and sleep.

Now I've been smoking for five years and I've never ever had a panic attack or anything close to it. This was totally strange to me. I always thought panic attacks were for people who couldn't handle their weed or something.

Another strange thing... today when I woke up, I could see little tiny flashing lights all around the bathroom, it looked like little tiny lightning bugs. I couldn't look at them directly... but I called my mom in to see if she could see them and she couldn't. Am I fucking crazy? lol...

anyways... moral of the story is... panic attacks are scary shit.

dude, a helpful hint for panic attacks, dont think about it. i know this sounds dumb but distract yourself with something. i know in extreme cases this doesnt work so what i do is i buy some xanax ahead of time, you know, in a "just in case" state of mind for awile i got panic attacks from weed then some1 recomended xanax and after a few times it never happened again. also if your ever dry and need to sleep just take a xanax by itself youll wake up very very refreshed but only in dry periods. remember prescriptions can become addictions. as for the blinky lights? i have never experienced that before mebe it was laced but you shouldnt worry about it that much.
    good luck

Did those blinking lights start at the edge of your eye?
As long as I can remember (when I was 4 I guess) I've had these things happen every so often, little yellow dots start at the edges of my eye and then they all start moving in paths. Each yellow dot is followed by an intensely black line, and they swim in my vision for a few seconds to a minute and then go away.
I think it has something to do with blood rushes and the like.
