McCain's going to get elected, will die in late 2010 and this woman will be our president.

    I can feel it.

    How is it disturbing?

    1. I don't care about people's religious beliefs, i live in central ohio, there are pentacostal/charismatic/evangical churches everywhere, i've seen this type of blessing on mayors and janitors and housewives, it only disturbs liberals and atheists for no other reason than they are liberals and atheists and any religion thats not purely academic is going to bother them.

    2. It was a visiting pastor, not someone who preached to her over a 30 year period, not someone who was her personal mentor, or who was any type of role model for her, and what was she supposed to do when he mentioned witches? run away screaming?

    3. The pastor is from Kenya, where they still have a culture that believes in witchcraft, he's giving a prayer, not burning anyone at the stake, get a grip

    4. belief in witchcraft is taboo, but 90% of america believes in god angels satan and demons, and so do most of your elected leaders and their religious leaders...

    5. Rev. Wright was controversial not because of his theological beliefs, but because of his political statements such as, um i dont know "god damn america" and that HIV was spread to the black community by the american government, those are political stances, not theological. You're basically attacking this pastor cause you think he prayed wrong....

    6. Has Palin said anything about witches? Has her pastor or her church said anything derogatory about the country she is trying to get an elected position in? Is this the man who is her moral compass? I don't think so.

Finally, don't any of you people go to church? This is almost exactly what i see every sunday. Of course Olbermann doesnt like it, that's one more reason that Olbermanns ratings are lowest of the major news networks in his time slot, he's the one that isn't in touch with the country, not Palin, Palin reminds me of at least a dozen women i know from church to work to family. She looks familiar to me and to a lot of folks, thats why she's popular, and the fact that she scares so many on the left makes me wonder what world they live in that a pastor damning the country is acceptable but one blessing a potential leader is controversial.

And when did we start giving our leaders religious litmus tests anyway, even FDR invoked god for crying out loud, this is a religious nation, get over it.

Settle down, Shane. I realize she's just another fake Christian like Bush, who uses religion to further her political career. I have nothing against Christians or people who practice any other faith, though I find some denominations of the Christian faith more disturbing than others, in particular Pentecostalism, Mormonism and the Jehovah's Witnesses, which are so far removed from the teachings of traditional Christianity as it is.

I am not religious by any means, but unlike many on the atheistic, humanist left, I respect people's right to practice whatever belief system they choose, no matter how flawed and ridiculous it may be.

So what? I thought it was kind of comical. I can't be serious ALL the time.

You act like you're taking some sort of personal offense to it.

As a christian i do. It's not really funny to me to watch Olbermann spread his anti-religious bias on the airwaves. and you called it disturbing, not humourous, i'm still waiting to hear what you think is disturbing about the video.

Well, I find the blatant mind manipulation that comes out of these churches to be disturbing. Yes, I believe in a creator. I just don't think the truth is to be found in any writings put forward by any church. I find the Pentecostal churches, such as the one Palin belongs to, a bit disturbing with their speaking in tongues and faith healing. It's blatant mind control devised by some very devious people. Try doing some research on the Pentecostals. It has nothing to do with traditional Christianity.

i don't need any of your tin foil hat "research" rat, i belong to a pentacostal church, all those teachings are in the bible, try the book of Acts, there is no mind control involved. You have no idea what you are talking about. The Vinyard in Grove City Ohio, anyone is welcome to come. I have bible study every saturday morning. You know what their "mind control" has me doing? Volunteer work at the YWCA and with Habitats for Humanity. yes, very disturbing indeed. 2 weeks ago my pastor checked in on my girlfriend after she had surgery, she had better peace of mind when he left, but no controlling that i could see...

you really are that crazy aren't you?

    You're a very accepting Christian.

And yeah, maybe I am crazy. Not crazy enough to join any artificial, manmade religion/cult, though.
