It's a pain reliever. A generic version of Percocet. The "5/500" means each pill contains 5 mg oxycodone (the good stuff) and 500 mg APAP (tylenol). Too much APAP in those to be usable for recreational purposes, unless you do an extraction. 2 pills might give you a bit of a buzz, but taking more than 2 would be hard on your liver.
yeah those bitches are hard on the ole liver man. do extraction and take about 20-25 mgs and check out your tolerance and feel for the drug APAP kills
There's really no need to extract the oxycodone unless you plan on eating a lot of pills. There's only 1/2 gram of APAP in each one. That means that by the time you get 20 mg. of oxycodone (which is what I suggest you take) in you, you've ingested 2 grams of APAP. Not really anything to worry about unless you start taking this much daily. For a one-time use, about 4 grams is the limit.
4 grams is the maximum DAILY intake for APAP. Daily, as in spread out over 24 hours, 1000 mg every 6 hours. Taking 4000 mg in one big dose will build toxic levels of the stuff in your liver, as your body can't metabolize the stuff that fast....
Can I get a source? I, and a lot of my friends, have taken 4 grams or more of APAP on many occasions. None of us have ever gotten anything more than a little skin yellowing and some stomach pain the next day. Definitely not near toxic levels.
Look on the back of a bottle of Tylenol, maybe? Uh, if your skin was yellowing (jaundice), that indicates that your liver was not working properly. In other words, a TOXIC EFFECT. Keep doing that, and you are setting the stage for a liver transplant later in life. A "toxic level" of a drug does not necessarily mean "immediately lethal". 4 grams in a single dose isn't likely to kill you immediately, but it will certainly do some damage to your liver, which may or may not recover.
Developing jaundice at age 18 is very serious. Your liver should be in tip-top shape. You had better be careful... For a source, call and ask any pharmacist the max daily dose of acetaminophen, or call McNeil Pharmaceuticals, manufacturer of Tylenol.
Skin yellowing is a VERY serious symptom. You will not probably die that day, or even that year, but as Ellis said, if you actually had SKIN symptoms, you are seriously messing with one of the most important organs in your body. The yellow means bilirubin is being built up in your body, which is very serious in anyone over the age of a few weeks or so (babies often get jaundice right after birth, and it is rarely an issue, but it is usually not pathological, nor drug caused) I take a couple of grams of APAP a day, due to chronic pain, and I get my liver function and my liver enzymes checked regularly. (Thank God it has always been healthy, but I NEVER drink alcohol, which probably explains why I can tolerate more APAP than most people.) I would not take a chance with 4 grams a day at all. If you have had skin discoloration, I would see a doctor for some liver enzyme tests. Most of the damage that APAP does is not immedate, it builds up over time, often compounded by other things you put in your body which place stress on your liver.
www.erowid.org its a great site for drug-related questions. even has pics so you can be sure of what u r taking.
I did in fact do research on erowid.com wasnt helpfull for Oxycodone at all. But i do have to say it is yet a Helpfull site for other things aswell. But i did just go upstairs to look at the pill container and it says Oxycodone 5/325. again i was just wondering if just 1 pill of this is harmfull to a 170 LBS first time user?
You will know that you have taken it, I doubt you will be fucked up. I would take two...that is plenty for me. You may want to start with one, wait an hour or so & see how it goes. If you want to, then take a second one. I would not drink at all, or drink very little, when/if you decide to take it. How old are you???
