Overrated albums

Post the cover of an album you find to be highly overrated.

I'll go first...

 

^ I soooooo agree. I remember getting that album right after it came out, too.

I got Nevermind eventually some years after the fad because I thought it was actually not so bad at all. London calling is very overrated in my book as well. But I never cared for the Clash at all really, same with Nirvana.

 

Thriller..

 

Nevermind was my first CD. I thought I was soo cool, I was like 11 :cheers2:

Fuckin seriously @ Master of Puppets. They still want $18 for that stupid fucking CD, not worth it. Not at all. I like about 5 Metallica songs, so I took up James Hetfield's favorite hobby and downloaded them.

 

Seriously what? Thou shoult not take the Lord James name in vain

 

Don't get me wrong, it's a great album and pink floyd were definitely legends before their time. But this one is still overrated.

 

I actually think it's a great album... it's simply been overplayed to no end by corporate radio.

 

No matter how hard I've tried to like Metallica, I just can't.

 

That would be overrated, no?

 

No.

 

To me that is. Especially when every suburban incense burning kid has the poster in their room.

So in other words, this is overrated albums (in pressed rats opinion)..

I'd rather listen to the clash.

 

The Beatles: White Album



It could be an excellent single album ,but as a double album there is way too much filler, gimmicky songs and other nonsense throughout.

 

"The White Album" was pretty groundbreaking for its time with the range of styles and genres it covers, even if some of the songs sound like filler.
