ouiji boards.. do they really work?

My friend and I are planning on using a ouji board and stuff... I was just wondering if they actually work? I mean we are planning on doing some spells and making some oils and stuff but we were wondering about the ouji board...

 

I had a cheap one from wal-mart and it didn't do anything but a friend had a much much older one and oh yeah it worked, scared the hell outta her!

 

It seemed 2 work when a friend & I did it. She made it herself 2.

 

Of course they don't work. They're mass-produced plastic pieces of crap.

 

I think you'll get a better response if you ask this question in the Paganism forum.. especially because it sounds like you're new to the whole 'oils and spells stuff'-stuff

There are people on this board that envoke spirits and pratice magic.. just make sure you know what you're doing. If you don't know anything about cleansing, healing or grounding then don't even start. Also question your intentions.. you are about to summon a ghost/spirit or talk to one.. why? Just for fun? To get answers? Who says the dead have all the answers? And who says they are willing to share them with you/us? It's not something you should do just for fun.. it can have really serious consequences (if you do it right).

If those things work, then obviously spirits can't spell worth a shit. Everytime we used it when we were young (me and my brothers/sisters) we'd ask a non-yes or no question and we'd get some random letters that never spelled anything.

I want to talk to my uncle that committed suicide because he had schizophrenia and stuff... I feel very connected to him because of his schizophrenia I meanI have hellucinations and all that stuff but not schizophrenia and all that. I have always wanted to meet him but he's dead and he hung himself so I want to contact him.

I know what you mean.. my first love committed suicide when I was 17 (he was 19.. we weren't a couple at that time but still liked eachother).. I always wanted to talk to him.. just to see how he's doing and all and because I miss him sometimes. But I figured that I just should be open for it and let him come to me.. when you invoke/evoke/summon someone, you might be forcing them to do something they don't want or what might bring them into trouble. You just don't know what there is after death... they do. What if he is perfectly happy in some kind of heaven somewhere and you rip him out of it just for a talk? That's my worst case scenario.

You can talk to him though.. just go sit somewhere quiet, maybe light a candle in his honor or something and speak out whatever is on your mind.. ask for help or guidance etc..

If you really want to 'talk' to him, go find yourself a good medium.. someone who is familiar with talking to the dead.. be carefull of frauds though, it'll only get you dissapointed. I never tried something like that myself by the way.. not sure if I believe in it and not sure if I want to 'force' him to talking to me.

Get an old Ouiji board, at a garage sale or thrift store. The more used it looks the better. A little tip for you all. They won't work in a house that has been blessed,
My wife had an old board when we were dating back in the eighties.
yes and no questions are the best to ask. bad spirits will disquise themselfs and tell you they are who you want them to be. if it won"t work in the house try the back yard. i"ll post more after i figure out why my shift key won"t work>

 

Confessions of a Spirit Guide

Actually I have a confession. It's something that has troubled me for years. I feel guilty about it. Years ago a few of my friends carried out a 'calling of the spirits' with a ouija board. They dimmed the lights, burned candles and sat there in the darkened kitchen waiting for contact.

I got bored and was supposed to be watching TV but I quietly entered the kitchen with a small reel of cotton. I made out I was making a coffee and tied the end of the cotton to a mug tree on the kitchen top. I made my coffee and left the room, discreetly unwiding the cotton as I walked away.

After about 5 minutes of listening to their mumblings I slowly pulled on the cotton and waited for the response. I didn't have long to wait. Sudden screams, panic and crashing sounds could be heard from the kitchen as they all left in a hurry.

Innocently sat in the living room I had to listen to their explanations about how they had managed to call up a spirit and how the coffee cup stand had glided across the kitchen counter in response to their callings.

I quickly went to the kitchen, they refused to go of course, and I retreived the cotton and disposed of the evidence.

To this day they still believe they called the spirits - I never had the heart to explain

- All is not always as it seems

 

Hehehee.... I don't know if that's very funny or very cruel.. what you did to them.. lol.

I do believe in stuff like that however.. it may or may not work.. so maybe you saved them for attracking a real bad spirit or sth Just look at it like you saved them, maybe makes you feel less guilty

Maybe I did save them, perhaps I will leave note with my will in full apology for my actions or mabye I will come back as a spirit and let them know what its really like.

 

right, thats what I was about to say..... usually the spelling is off, but they have the right letters, you just have to mix them around a bit.

 

whether or not they 'work' depends to a great extent on what the two (or more?) people using them are trying to do with them. and of course upon how you define and what you mean by "working".

if you are trying to plug into the nontangable 'internet', well you do that more when you're asleep and dreaming.

but if you want someting litteral or verbal about a past or parallel life, like a name or something, or you're looking for some alien term for something, or just trying to randomly generate a word for some reason, for THAT they work pretty darn good.

i actualy reconnected with one of my own names that way.

but as for some kind of seance type thing or talking to things that go bump in the night, who knows, but i wouldn't too much count on it

i of course think that's funnier then hell.
other then the waste of whatever, however many coffee cups may have gotten broken in the proccess.

i don't see how either you or they hurt a damd thing
other then a few hapless coffee cups.

on the other hand i don't have a lot of patience with anyone
who makes a habit of doing things like that. (robbing people of even immagined exoticness)

i think the kindest thing you could do is to keep your
secret. i don't mean make some big dark calling attention
to it deal out of doing so, swearing on your life to carry it to your grave, or any such nonsense as that, but if no one asks, why spoil their sense of feeling they might have connected with something,
besides, if they feel strongly enough that they did, they might just not believe you anyway!

I have a question and ya'll prabably think Im stupid but I've never really delt with this knida stuff, umm what would happen if i did contact a spirt and they were bad??? what could they do to me???

 

they could freak you out. which is pretty damn bad.
