my friends are gonna get me some opium this weekend and i was jsut wondering how you guys felt about this substance whether its negative or positive next week will be the first time that ive ever done it!
Even though I've tried it, I wouldn't recommend it, being an opiate. But it's probably the only opiate that I would say can be positive...but it is addictive, so be aware of that and be careful. I personally didn't like it as well as other drugs (i.e. psychedelics), because it didnt have much depth to it...but you may like it a lot...
You'd have better luck asking the junkies and bums that sleep in alleyways. You can't miss them - just check the arms for track marks.
Yeah, because everyone shoots up opium. It was big in southeast Asia for a long time. They used to smoke it. I saw a whole documentary about opium on the discovery channel, and it really doesn't look all that bad. Look it up on erowid if you want information about the substance you'll be putting into your body.
Your "friends" are going to sell you "opium". Right. In over 40 years of being on the fringe of the drug culture , i.e; knowing dealers, users, cops, etc.-- I have never known, read or heard about opium being available to anyone. I've never read of a bust, an possession arrest, and surely not a dealing arrest. If you're Chinese-- maybe. If not, you just got ripped. And, it is highly addictive. God gave you your soul-- why waste it?
I say.. just watch out. If you're worrying about ODing or getting hooked on the shit, don't use it. You CAN OD on opium, make sure you tell your friends that if they don't already know.
And nobody has ever progressed from snorting heroin to shooting it. Its like moving from coke to crack.

I would say: DONT do it! If you are going to do illegal drugs, smoke weed and eat some mushrooms or other psychedelic drugs, like LSD.
if you want an opiate or something like one, try xanax. i think its like and opiate but since ive never had a real opiate im not sure. but xanax is great. i highly recommend it but i can see how you could easily get addicted to xanax/opiates easily. the whole next day i wanted some real bad. not addiction kind of needing, just that i really liked it and it felt so good.
Hah, you're treating me like I know so much more about opium than the other guys here. Truth is: I don't. I just use the site Erowid.com and the the Lycaeum to arm myself with whatever knowledge is out there. Really, erowid has the answer to your question. Go look it up in their opium FAQ.
from opium to heroin,all opiates are very addictive.they're bad shit.the devil in chemical form.pleasant appearance,then they fuck your whole life.and you're not "smarter than those that get hooked",cause it's not a question of smartness,it's willpower and that's what opiates kill first. 3 "balls" the size of around 3 mm in diameter with tobacco in a ciggarette (remove any kind of filter,replace it with some rolled cardboard/thick paper) thudly,i suppose the scene differs,but around here you can easily get it,if you know the right people.also old ladies grow poppies for the flower and if you ask nicely,you get a handfull of seeds
i would not suggest doing it at all, but i would be a hypocrite to say i never have it is very pretty smellig and tasting and very addictive. I have only done it a few times because of the addictive aspect. if you will not take the good advice not to do the drug i suggest you do very very very little and not keep any more around you after you have done it because later on in the evening you will want to do more and your judgment will be off concerning how much is enough. practice caution even though i would still recommend not doing such an addictive substance. Personally i do nothing at all anymore and life is much easier now.i'm gonna say once more not to try it. caution, opiates are dangerous
