What's the opinion on Alex Jones around here? I sometimes find him to be very informative, but i always find myself being turned off to his show by his sometimes ridiculous fear-mongering and ignorance pertaining to certain subjects such as religion and religion pertaining to the elites.

Jones is actually appearing on Piers Morgan tonight at 9:00EST to discuss the deportation petition he has against him. Ealier today Jones was detained by the TSA en route to NYC for refusing to take off his shoes. It seems rather staged and contrived to me.

I used to listen to Jones regularly starting in the late 90s/early 00s when he was still very much unknown, and even wrote numerous articles that have been featured on his websites. Like you, I was always put off by Jones' delivery and sensationalistic ways, but at the same time thought he put out a lot of good information. As time went on, I began to realize that Jones was every bit the shill that everyone else in the media is, and that he's more or less allowed to say the things he does.

I have called out Jones several times in the past, and even made a video exposing him after he tried to cash in on people's fear following the 2011 in tsunami in Japan, when he began selling potassium iodide for a marked up price on his website after buying out the original supplier and scaring the shit out of people about radioactive fallout reaching the US.

This is the aforementioned video I made:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIFtlD9W_B8"]Alex Jones' Potassium Iodide scam EXPOSED!! - YouTube

Alex Jones is a man who simply cannot be trusted, which isn't to say that he doesn't put out some good information. It's how said information is presented. Alex Jones makes a mockery of the truth -- while in the process getting rich off of it -- and I believe that is precisely why he is given so much attention. People listen to Alex Jones and hear the information he puts forward, then they shrug it off as nonsense because of the kooky way in which that information is presented.

a symptom of an entertainment- and distraction-addicted culture looking for answers, but too historically oblivious and lacking in intellectual detachment to ask the right questions.

I'd keep it that way. Imagine Pressed Rat on crack cocaine.

I agree 90% with Pressed Rat.
But I think he is 80% the same as Alex.
Pressed Rat just needs to find a way to profit from it.
Perhaps that is what is different.
Atleast Pressed Rat isn't in it for the money. Or is he?

'a man who simply cannot be trusted...'

'It's how said information is presented.'

'makes a mockery of the truth.'

'put off by ... delivery and sensationalistic ways.'

Why would he not be allowed to say anything he likes?

Alex is an annoying loud mouth self obsessed deliverer of bullshit.

We may need people like this, though.

    Very much conflicted.

    I like Pressed Rat.
    I don't like Alex Jones.

Jones was HILARIOUS on Piers Morgan tonight. I was thoroughly entertained. Unfortunately, Jones doesn't do much to support his case by acting the way he does, and I am sure that is why he's allowed to go on national TV and say the things he does.

This was aired live and uploaded just within the last hour.

The part near the end where Jones was mocking Morgan's accent had me in stitches. Jones barely allowed Morgan to get a word in edgewise.

I just watched the debate and I have to say it was fucking hilarious lol, just because it was Piers Morgan (that limey redcoat). I never knew about that iodine thing. Man that's fucked up. I never had allot of respect for Jones as a reporter and now I have even less respect for him as a person. But I guess at some point everyone has to make a pretty penny to live comfortably in this wretched world.

Alex is a representation of why Americans should curtail their gun use, and stop hiding behind an amendment. Too many hysterical people with guns in their hands.

Thats the the best part of the USA. How am i "hiding" behind a "RIGHT"?

In the USA we also have free speech to tell libturds, Lets hold hands and it will all go away, FUCK YOU, FUCK OFF its never gonna happen.

I will NEVER give up my arms, Plain and simple and i will fight to the last round and then my bayonet for my RIGHT to bear arms.

I would not ask you to give up your arms - just recognise you are a hysterical violent nation - and this is the result: a mass of people shooting fellow Americans.

I agree with that. Too many people going out and "panic" buying. The same people who dont know how to use, When to use it and all the safety that follows.

The "mass" is a loose term. There is always going to be low life white trash, Ghetto hood rats and the like who will always have guns and will always shoot each other. IMO who cares, Let them wipe each other out.

But after you sift through all the gang related, Cartel and criminals who commit these crimes, There is not enough to really count. More people die from lawn mowers and car wrecks.

There are a couple firearms that really have NO purpose other than trouble. But its the fact that "IF" i wanted to own one, I do and should always have that right.

Its all give and take, But i still havnt herd them tell the truth about ol sandy hook. NO AR-15 was used, Four hand guns were found in the school, Not Two.
But you will never hear the dumbs/libs admit that, They need sandy hook as a poster for their "BAN".

That's the point. Too many of 'them' and not enough of 'you'. Why is that?
Does having a gun free for all and the solid notion you have the right to have guns create a peaceful society? I say no.

Go have an argument with somebody who wants to ban guns.

Well, If i knew everyone around me was packing, People will be less likely to commit crimes. If a criminal knows that the chance of the person having a sidearm went from 12% to 70%, Hes gonna be out of business or dead.

If you sat in a room and knew i had a sidearm, You would keep your tone and temper under control wouldnt you? You wouldnt run off at the mouth would you?

A criminal is going to get the same idea or end up 6ft under. How would it not be peaceful if all it took was a sidearm? If thats all it took to control the mental defect criminals, You dont think its worth it?

If you seek peace, Prepare for war.

So you're saying you'd just bully people, and you think it would be nice if everyone had a gun, because then everyone would expect you to have a gun, so they would be afraid of you, and treat you more nicely than you deserve.

No, I would speak how I do, and act how I do. The difference is that all the people like you would have your way. I'm far from against guns, but you're obviously the type of person who..... should not even be in the same room with a gun, much less actually own one.

What we NEED is a way to ensure that americans as a whole keep the right to bear arms, but that people like you lose the right to bear arms. If you could not own a gun, 70% could still be armed, without having crazy "I DON'T CARE IF PEOPLE ARE CRAZY AND VIOLENT, THAT'S MY RIGHT, AND IF YOU TRY TO TAKE IT I'LL KILL YOU" typees like you running around.

Ill ALWAYS own my guns, PERIOD.

Where did i say or mention bullying?

You should not own a gun from some of the crap you have posted. You think you are "better" than me so you can judge "who" gets to own firearms or not?

For that fact and reason alone i WILL always keep my guns. People like YOU. Who think they have the right to pick and choose "who" gets their "rights".
