I am disastisfied with the ORPGs
The either offer good on one element while negating all other elements of a RPG, or negate any good altogether.
    Eh?
    LoL
I feel the same about good books these days
Don't bother to recomend to me any books
I can't afford to buy any and have an outstanding debt at the library.

IMO the best online graphical RPG ever made is www.meridian59.com
It was the first made too so the graphical system is severely outdated, and the company has changed ownership several times so the MODs suck and can't keep the game at potential. I'd play it again right now for fun, though, but I don't have a credit card. Someone wanna buy me an account and I'll mail you 11$? ;) Using western union is not a viable option as you must pay for a 3 month block plus ten dollar charge.

I am playing on a lineage2 rogue server but the game is borring for me so far.

Perhaps I am the one that sucks and it is not the games and books fault, but when I was younger I was much more easily entertained and things seemed far more vast and complex and mysterious than they sometimes do now.

AnyWay despite meridian59 being the oldest g-orpg I maintain that it has the best PvP ever(although slightly gimped ATM). Now there was a period of about one month not long after ultima online came out that was almost as good but it did not last. Companies are horrified of leaving open player combat in RPGs since it scares away the more timid customers.

If you are dissatisfied with ORPGs ...

    Then make one.

See ... that's the whole thing about whining.

If you can't do something better than someone else.

You shouldn't whine about how "bad" other people's work is.

Because they spend a lot of time learning how to create their world, and even more time actually creating, maintaining, and upgrading it.

So don't whine if you aren't willing to try.

    =\

have you ever tryed playing runescape?
I know ppl say that they played runescape 1 but that was sorta crappy but now they have a new runescape (runescape 2) and its been out since march of 2000 and its way better with cool graphics and has several skills you cna raise like farming and woodcutting and fire making. or you can do combat and archery and magic.

Its a pretty cool game and its not that hard to learn. It seems boring in the first because you have to start on the stupid tutorial island but once you get going in the game its pretty hard to quite.

(thread drift for the computer forum, sorry, but you did mention books!)
Cheap or free books: check out the local thrift store, and also take a look at BookCrossing http://www.bookcrossing.com, you may be able to find some books you like that you can read for free... you are supposed to/encouraged to set them free again after you read them, but there's no time limit like at the library, no late fees and such :)

You guys should really try a online RPG game called Ashen Empres. It's a smaller game, like 100-200 people on average, so everyone is friends, kinda diablo graphics, you can pick non-pvp or pvp servers so it was good.

you might wonna chick er out.

And ya, runescape 2 is pretty cool if you get good.

No, it has a client but you don't need a good computer to play it. Free until you get a certain level so it's worth a try.

i built a runescape character up to around 50 and completely lost interest
I really don't like level based PvP and for me half of the ORPG is PvPing at LEAST
