What are your favourite One Hit Wonders? What are the songs that make you say: "I wonder what happened to them?"

Brim Full of Asha's got to be up there....

Blobby oh mr blobby! Interestingly, my blobby was played by a girl. More interestingly, the girl who played her was a lesbian. And even more interestingly, Kat's (Pinkmoon on these forums) sister is going out with her....

I think Cornershop are still going. The album 'Brimful of Asha' was on (I think it was 'When I Was Born For The 7th Time') is an excellent record! There's a great cover of The Beatles' 'Norweigian Wood' on there.

The first one-hit wonder that sprang to mind for me was 'Lava' by Silversun, I liked that album quite a bit when I was little :)

U can't touch this (MC Hammer)
Ebeneezer Scrooge (can't remember who did it, but it was an early 90s rave track)

Awwww Nice one dude, I've been wanting to know who they were for ages! I was only about 5 or 6 when the tune came out, but it's never been forgotten.

Dudette! the shamen had a string of hits! (and if yer liked Ebeneezer Goode, yer won't be disapointed... all their tracks sounded pretty much the same  )

One Hit Wonders..... lessee... Stiltskin - Inside (from one of the many cool levi's adds) .... voice of the beehive - don't call me baby....... Strawberry Switchblade (can't remember the song title) ... The Grid - Swamp Thing... so many :D

I've just dug this out - it is indeed a great record and I think Cornershop reformed recently but I haven't heard their newer stuff. Does it still count as a "one hit wonder" if it's a brilliant band who had a great if lowkey indie career before and after the "hit"?[IMG] It was the rubbish remix that got in the charts anyway!

I preferred Mulligan and O'Hare's interpretation of it :)
