It does not have to be with a rifle, pistol, bow, spear, knife or anything that kills even. It could be with a camera, glasses, a paint brush even. Who gets out there in them woods seeking a specific thing, fighting the elements and basking in the wild of it all??? Fall always just triggers some primal thing in me. I have to get out there even if its driving thru the woods but I have to be there, to see, to feel, to live it.
Most of my cousins hunt. I've only fired a weapon a couple times... never hunted. A part of me says I might want to consider getting into the practice should our cozy little economy implode and I'm forced to rely on my wits and instinct for survival. I know, I'm doomed.
i hunt mennnn :H It has been said they are the ultimate prey and that once you have really hunted man the rest leaves you lacking.
I hunt ducks. Its not for everyone though. Getting up at 4 am getting ready and going out into the 20-30 degree weather and standing in the water waist deep for an hour or 2 untill the sun comes up (of course with waiters on but still... the water makes it that much colder). Its really fun though. Being with good friends, conversation.. Its very addicting
nope, i just like to target practice and plus, firing off a few rounds is a good stress reliever for me...
i would love to go hunting a friend of mine hunts with a bow a few hunt with a rifles but i've always been too much of a city slicker to do it though - i've only fired a rifle a few times, and the M16 once (hit the wrong target at that too )
I think its in every mans blood to hunt. It just doesnt appeal to some, but once you do it, you will love it. Its just one of those things you have to experience..
why sir, are you coming onto me? you know, I don't normally swing that way.... whoa! what's the rifle all about? wait a tic, AHH!!! (or alternatively) RABBIT season!!
No, I do not hunt. I believe that I have no right to take away the gift of life from any being. I do not particularly hate hunting. I think that it's fine if you're doing it in order to feed yourself and your family... But any other kind of hunting, especially trophy hunting is one of most disgusting things on this planet.
I used to hunt rabbits and hares with dogs. I really enjoyed getting out there in nature and getting involved, just going into nature feels like I'm intruding where I'm not supposed to be but going in with a reason feels like being at odds with nature. Now I have no dogs just one cat and if it's not a bird in a tree she has no interest I gonna need a bigger cat.
i used to hunt to the extreme.. would spend every chance i had in the woods. i became very proficient in what i did.. so much so that the challenge wasnt there anymore.so i really havent in the last few years. however, recently i have been seriously considering getting my guns and bow out again and hunting a bit.. i dunno tho, sometimes i think i enjoy killing just a bit to much...
i live in a friggin city and i think anyone who thinks its a sport to kill anything is nuts, but if you're actually going to eat it, more power to yah. just don't get all drunked up and go out and play blackwater on the first day of hunting season. or then again, if you do, you're as likely to becone someone else doing so's two legged vennison as they are yours. (i also grew up in the boonies, where everyone stayed indoors unless they absolutely HAD to go the grocery or pick up the mail, the first at least week, of hunting season!) =^^= .../\...
