As a general rule, I think that they are a great experience for people to have. If nothing else, they make you understand alot of the thinking/feeling behind the 60's and the psychedelic movement. If you are in a good place emotionally and don't have anything weird going on in your life, you'll probably have a very pleasant trip. Even if the trip is not very good, I think there is value in taking mushrooms. Just take care of set and setting. There is plenty of advice on the forums for beginners
i don't really understand the whole "changes you for life" thing, but they are pretty fun and a helluva ride. just make sure you're around people you're comfortable with in a setting you're comfortable with and in a good mood going into the trip and you should have nothing to worry about.
A drug cant make you change anything, but it can catalyze the change in yourself, by showing you what you dont want to accept. there was someone here who said they got into really good shape because of a kick in the ass from lucy, and thats just the tip of the iceberg. But yeah, to the OP, take at least an eighth, and be by yourself, or only with people who youd trust your life to. And its better if everyone takes them, otherwise there can be some alienation from your sober friends.
Ive only tripped once Gonna trip again sometime soon, But basically just know about the drug (or fungi, or whutever) your taking, do a little research you know? And be comfortable where your doing them at, and of course with people you trust
Just because someone has depression doesn't mean they automatically CANT take shrooms, they just have to be more careful and maybe start off with lower doses (maybe not)
