i have been at my sister's periodically throughout the day, as we were supposed to go get thai food.

she has been leaving all day.

i love thai food, and i love my sister.

    right now i have neither.

traditional thai food has two main ingredients; coconut milk and chillies

north-eastern thai food(Isaan) is way spicier than food from the rest of Thailand. They also use little or no coconut milk.

I don't know about what you get in the states. But compared to European thai restaurants, its pretty similiar, perhaps a little spicier here.

But the Isaan food, I've never seen that in a restaurant back home. There are so many weird things that they eat here in the NE. Red-ant larvae, live baby shrimp, raw beef, and lots of innards.

And you wonder why you don't see it in europe?

I don't think it would catch on, somehow..
