this guy puts a hamster in an empty soda and ties it to a bunch of balloons, lets it fly 100 feet up in the air, then proceeds to defend himself by saying the selfish little bitch of a hamster tied through the dental floss that was holding his bitchass to the ground, and that he was being selfish by taking his life away from the college kids and his cagemate "tits'' http://modifiedliving.com/Hamster.htm http://modifiedliving.com/weirdomail.htm
Im not trying to sound like an asshole but its no different than feeding it to a snake. It would suffer both ways. Feeding it to a snake would be a "Better" cause than hoisting it up in a soda bottle and balloons. Its kind of sad I suppose.
That's terrible, so awful... people like that make me sick. And to be proud of such behaviour, that's even worse. These people need some serious therapy.
maybe it is a joke, but even so, i really don't like the idea of someone thinking it's funny... this guy at my school killed a rabbit... he caught it in a bag and beat it to death. Got away with it too... no charges of animal cruelty or anything. Even though they KNOW he did it... (they decided not to charge him because it would hurt his future career)
Well, there is a difference between thinking REAL cruelty is funny and JOKING cruelty... You probably wouldn't like British humor... And the kid who killed the bunny is a sick individual, he needs help...
ya, there definatly is a difference. But there is also a strong connection between ideas and actions. Actually, I love British Humour... I was kinda raised on it... Monty Python is pretty much the (wait for it) Holy Grail (tee hee) of comedy as far as I'm concerned.
I'm kinda surprised by the fact that you love it... Because the British like it violent and bloody. I guess it's just the animal thing that bothers you, then? Well, I have been accused of having a twisted sense of humor, so... Jokes of people and animals dying in bizarre, twisted ways, is fairly amusing, to me... One of my favorite stories is "The Gashlycrumb Tinies" by Edward Gorey. It's hilarious.
monty python is obviously a joke... it seems to me like the creator of the web site (assuming it is fake) sees the joke as the fact that people believe that he's hurt an animal and are getting upset by that idea. Is that a novel?
no, i'm not. what i said was... i have absolutly no idea if it is or not. but i'm not going to spend my time arguing that killing a hamster is wrong... i think we have consensus on that... i'm just following the convo, and exploring what it means if it is a joke sorry if i wasn't clear
Edward Gorey wrote short stories. Very macabre, very dark, horrible things happening to people, poetically. Quite reminiscent of Poe... He was an American, but he wrote in English fashion... The Gashlycrumb Tinies is an alphabet story... Like "A is for Apple, B is for Baby" that sort of thing... However, all the letters in the alphabet correspond to childrens names and they all die horrible deaths: "A is for Amy who fell down the stairs. B is for Basil assaulted by bears", etc.... And he created drawings for each one. It's the sort of ABC book you'd expect to see the Addams Family reading to their kids... I have the book "Amphigorey", it is a compilation of 15 of his works and it includes The Gashlycrumb Tinies... I think it's funny, but like I said, I've been accused of having a twisted sense of humor.
I'm the one who implied that it was a joke. When I went to the site, it really had the feeling of that site with the kittens in the clear boxes...
i remember that site.. the reason i asked if she was sure it was a joke was because she said that he sees the joke as the fact that people believe that he's hurt an animal and are getting upset by that idea
Negative attention is better than no attention and some people like to make others mad. Heck, we even have those kind of people on the Hipforums! And I agree, if he really did that to that poor little hamster, that is a terrible thing to do... But, it wouldn't surprise me to find that it was indeed a joke. Especially with the donations thing... It just really seems like those cats in the boxes!
