At least my cats find new strange ways and places to take their naps... The strangest is Otis, he finds comfort in the most uncomfortable places. he falls a sleep with his face in shoes... he also loves sinks and bath tubs. oh and not to mention the legs of the fan. Tashy likes to sleep on top of clothes... and in my room at least clothes are thrown around. so when I get home and change she quickly lays down on whatever I had on... So where do your pets sleep and find comfort?
My cat Gracie likes to sleep under my bed, behind the refriderater or on top of my refridegerator. Henry loves to sleep under blankets. both cats like to find odd new places where I cant find them. Its great coming home and realizing no one is meowing and searching wtih your boyfriend for 3 hours for the cats only to realize that a drawer in my dresser was open a crack... somehow they both had managed to get in the crack but couldnt get out.... My cats are special...
My big dog, Jerry Bear, is obsessed - she always wants her butt wdged in a corner! (At the house we used to live in, she actually knocked in the wall in her favorite corner, just from pushing against it all the time). Our other dog will sleep about anywhere. On of the cats likes it under the covers, the other likes it anywhere dark and confined (for a while, she actually liked hanging out in her litter box for hours on end! boy am i glad thats' over!). The weirdest habit the cats have is cardboard. If there's cardboard anywhere in the house, they'll sleep on it!
my cat likes to sleep in my yarn trunk, with the lid closed. He gets in, and then kicks at the lid until it closes. He will also sleep in the dirty clothes hamper, after throwing all my husbands clothes on the floor (only likes my stink, apparently).
Have you ever taken a nap on cardboard? It is like sleeping on a heating pad, something about it retains your body heat and reflects it back to you really well. I've seen tons of dogs and cats use cardboard to sleep on for this reason. LOL
my daisy dog sleeps under the bed which isnt so weird execpt for the fact she is a little overweight and was absloutely forcing herself under there so we bought bed raisers for her she has a whole little world under there I also have a lab mix who is full grown his name is cooter and he has this thing with sleeping on the arms of chouchs his body hangs off the sides and stuff... and my kitty sleeps in the fireplace if we are burning something she will continously meow untill the fire is out and the walls ahve cooled off i have tried everything to convince her not to but she always finds a way in to it.... I used to have a pitt bull who slept in the dryer she would open it and climb in....
yeah! cardboard is magical handy stuff. It's hard for me to judge what an odd place to be sleeping is. The kitties and I sleep in a lot of the same places hahaha...In a lot of the same curled up positions too. ah I think I'm a cat. I have this big plastic tub that I keep clothes and fabric and crap in and it's actually really comfy to lay in. I'm not sure if I started sleeping in there first or if they did but all three of us utilize it often. Nice for passing out in drunk but I'm sure they wouldn't know... They are always all over new furniture that comes in the house. Whenever I drag couches and chairs and whatever in from the dumpster they lay claim to it and lounge around on it constantly for days until it becomes old or something. They cuddle with me a lot and don't really mind if I squeeze them like a damn teddybear which I think is pretty strange for cats. I love it!
hey hiro, is that a ferret sleeping in the bags? mine did; how do they breath in there? Feelinfreakish, when you going to post some pics of that cool daisy dog? put some on dogbreedinfo.com they need more daisys. I love mine.
my newest snake seems to love dosing off inside a toilet paper roll. shes going to have to find a new place when she gets to be as thick around as that toilett paper roll though
All of my fur kids sleep funny. Belle (lhasa poo) sleeps on back stretched out with head on pillow and front paws in the air. She looks like a furry person this way. Lucy (wrinkle rott) waits until I am out cold and will squeeze between bf and I. Have I mentioned they are not allowed on the bed? They wait till we are sleeping to get up there. Lucy will sleep in a laundry basket that she is too big for or on any article of clothing she can until we pass out. She once gathered a fe socks to sleep on. Cats: Halo (persian) sleeps in bathroom cabinet. Somehow all my cats have figured out how to open it. This was previously Lydia's spot until Halo came into the family last week. Lydia Deetz now sleeps anywhere she can not be seen. Never sleeps in the open. Veruka Saltz has to be up high, preferrably highest point in the room. She is very tiny, but will knock the others around to get to where she wants. Murray has to be in the middle of the room, preferrably in the way. If we're in the living room, he has to sleep in the opening between the dining and living rooms so we have to step over him as we're walking. He just lays there hoping to be pet. Mish Mish has to be where he's hard to see, but where he can see all. top of bookshelf or frog tank.
One of my rat terrier dogs made herself a little "hammock" under an ottoman we have. she picked and pulled at the lining underneath it til she had some holes in it and she'll get in it and we'll see the top of the ottoman bumping up while she's getting herself comfortable! whenever we notice she's been quiet for a while and we dont see her anywhere, we know she's in her hammock.
Our pup sleeps EVERYWHERE... he's big and drooly and he snores and grunts and kicks his legs in his sleep. You can always tell where he's been sleeping 'cause stuff might be slightly re-arranged, and there's a huge foamy drool spot where he lays his head... whether it's on the carpet, the couch, in someone's lap (haha, he thinks he's a 110lb. Yorkie)... one morning we woke up and literally AN ENTIRE HALF of one of our couch cushions was SOAKED. My husband walked into the living room and thought I had dropped my coffee on the couch or something. I'd have to say the weirdest place he sleeps sometimes is by the front door, near the tool box. It's mostly for working on cars, so it's oily and greasy and stinky and he just LOVES to lay there with his head right beside the tool box... maybe because it smells like his "parents"? ('Cause we're always working on cars/helping friends with their vehicles, and my husband works at a concrete plant so our house just generally smells like "construction worker"). I dunno, but he sure seems to like it.
