There is no way to tell from that video what happened before it starts... However, that doesn't change the fact that cops should not be assaulting people like that.

It is called excessive force.

If he had been in the middle of a brawl with people that seem to pose a physical threat to him, it might be able to be understood... A woman like her and a man like him?

Takes a special kind of dirtbag to act like that.

 

I been re-watching it too and will retract the word punch...she actually slaps him real quick with her right hand across his left cheek..I can even hear the slap if i turn the volume up..it was a good one :d

I can't say for sure whether she did or didn't. The officer's actions did seem a bit extreme but considering what was going on, how some in the mainstream media- particularly those who orchestrate opinions under the guise of "conservatism" are characterizing the manner in which the cops are acting is hardly surprising considering how they are brainwashed into seeing the protesters- NOT that it's an excuse for being excessive but it's not exactly a shock to me.

Sadly, this helps the corporate run media to characterize the participants in a manner that cultivates support for depriving them of their presumed rights to free speech.

I was just told by one of the livestream media team members in NYC that the person punched in this video is a male with long hair and a tight shirt.

at 1:34, the person shows up on the left hand side of the screen, next to the helmet.

The person is facing the right... and you can see what looks like a scruffy beard.

They are walking to the right and disappear behind the helmet.

At 1:39, you see them again between the helmet and the left hand side... still walking to the right.

At 1:40, they appear on the right hand side of the helmet, in the motion of turning around.

The cop, appears to be just following through pulling the person around to face them and pulling back.

Look at the cop on the other side of the protestor... he is looking and moving towards THE COP.... He moves to grab him as he is throwing the next punch.

You can then see him trying to pull the other cop back from the protestor...

Now why would he be doing this if the protestor had struck the other cop first?

Simple answer... HE WOULDN'T... He would have been moving to grab the protestor...

One can surmise that for whatever reason, the cop who threw the punch was in the wrong, and the other cop knew it...

Up until the moment that the two are behind the helmet and it seems that the cop grabbed the protestor by the shoulder and yanked him around, the whole thing was relatively peaceful....

The actions of that cop, are what sparked the chaos.

 

Tom, out of curiosity, how did you see all that? Did you download the video into some kind of video viewing software?

Im confused about that poster.. the death star concept would indicate "the protest will reach maximum velocity and be over taken by the rebels and explode" Or..
The death star in space..

In theory, if you push something in space it will never stop, as no gravity means no friction, therefore very little propulsion is needed to move, as effectively the death star is weightless. The difficulty would be in Stopping the momentum that such a large spacecraft would gain in space... which is which?
