So, the other topic got closed for a second time because posters were going off-topic.

Please respect our right to discuss this and stay on topic or gtfo.

So, what have your heard about this movement?
    What are your thoughts feelings?
    Have you taken action?

Yes, I just now joined a credit union. Pardon me , self-righteous ones, for just now joining your cool people party.
Also joined the local Occupy group.

    How bout you?

    Thanks for the links .

I'm heading to a protest today in my local city .

The problem I see with this protest is , how many protesters are still living "inside" the system it's fighting against ? We can't fight against something from the inside , that we are still financially supporting . I think it's wonderful and a good start , that these protests are gaining momentum . However , it needs to grow and morph into a larger REAL anti banking movement . A movement to get outside the box., the only way to truly fight it .

I think about it like this . How many of those protesters have mortgages ? How many have car loans ? How many drive foreign made cars ? Student loans ? To me the protests are meaningless unless the movement takes a fundamental next step and actively promotes defaulting and getting outside the "mainstream" system . It would have to become literally a " tent city " of homeless people to grow and grow boycotting big business and global banking cartels . We can protest all we want , noting will change unless there is a fundamental shift in our collective consciousness and really begin fighting against this tyranny , through non financial support of big business and banking cartels . The only thing at this point that can bring them down is money , rather lack of it . While I support these protests whole heartedly as beginning steps to waking sleeping " citizens" up , unfortunately I think it will end in failure . Especially if labor unions are allowed to participate .

How many people are really ready to get out of the box ? How many are really ready to give up creature comforts , and everything they have worked so hard to obtain ? How many have the intestinal fortitude to leave society and all their material possessions ? For this movement to really succeed and have real impact , that's what has to happen . And how many are really ready to endure that hardship upon themselves ? Not many, I'm afraid . We built this tyrannous government piece by piece through the usury of big banks . Through money to obtain material possessions and the fake bullshit " American dream" . We were so occupied with " keeping up with the Jone's , we lost track of the banking cartels we built and the big business that has sprung up around them . That's now running the world , and dictating their rules to our government .

We underestimate the enemy we face . Protesting while still feeding that enemy is useless . He must be starved out and cut off monetarily . Anything short of that and we are just pissing in the wind ! The truth is most American's just don't care ! They're content being led back into bondage and slavery , with every link of the chain , they forge for themselves . Link by link , like sheep being led to the slaughter . The only true motivator for change left for them is starvation , which now won't be far off .

    It's a great start , and I'm attending in my city .

    (Lyrics)

    They can take our money
    They can take our homes
    They can steal the future
    Mortage our souls

    Occupy the politicians mind
Buy the truth and sell us lies

But there's a rising on wall street
I am you and you are me
    We are the 99%'ers
On the right side of love and history

It's hard to say where it went wrong
Decades before me and this song
Through the banksters and the wars
You know I just can't take it anymore

There's a rising on wall street
I am you and you are me
    We are the 99%'ers
On the right side of love and history

Cool tune! I'm sure there will be more as things progress. We certainly need a new anthem and perhaps to bring back some old ones...

Remember "We shall overcome?", "Power to the People", and this one...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCWdCKPtnYE"]Bob Dylan - Times They are a-Changin - YouTube

The Times, The are a Changin'
    by Bob Dylan

    Come gather 'round people
    Wherever you roam
    And admit that the waters
    Around you have grown
    And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
    If your time to you
    Is worth savin'
    Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come writers and critics
    Who prophesize with your pen
    And keep your eyes wide
    The chance won't come again
    And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
    And there's no tellin' who
    That it's namin'.
    For the loser now
    Will be later to win

For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come senators, congressmen
    Please heed the call
    Don't stand in the doorway
    Don't block up the hall
    For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
    There's a battle outside ragin'.
    It'll soon shake your windows
    And rattle your walls

For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come mothers and fathers
    Throughout the land
    And don't criticize
    What you can't understand
    Your sons and your daughters
    Are beyond your command

    Your old road is
    Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

    The line it is drawn
    The curse it is cast
    The slow one now
    Will later be fast
    As the present now
    Will later be past
    The order is
    Rapidly fadin'.

    And the first one now
    Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

    AMEN!
