Obsessed would be ex's

I have decided to ask yall this question because i know i will get some good advice here. How would you handle a would be ex , who is obsessed and will not just stay away ?
He is a WOULD BE , having never had an actual relationship , but he manages to hang around , and make himself KNOWn , and has been asked to stop.
I need some advice on how to get rid of him , that sounds harsh , but he has been verbally abusive to me in the past and I really dont want him around.

Thats why i posted here , im all out of trying to deal with this guy. I needed good advice.

 

Any type of response at some level validates the obsessive behavior and can only encourage him. Even a name change constitutes a sort of validation. To me the best action is none at all- do not acknowledge him, don't respond. This can take a while but his game will get tiring after a while and he will go away on his own eventually.
