Originally, ignored I might add, posted on the Activism board: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=464449&f=341 I figured it might get more attention here considering it is newsworthy. On Martin Luther King Day of all days. *shakes head at the idiocy* http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/...january-19_n_2431509.html?utm_hp_ref=business This is as ridiculous as when Chick-fil-a created an appreciation day because people boycotted them. Lets hope the gun fondlers shoot each other.
Tell me about it. Especially when it is on Martin Luther King Day. It is as though these people are spitting in the face of the teachers and children and parents who suffered as a result of what happened in Connecticut.
wow you're all over the place in your thinking. I would think you would be pissed but MLK was shot. But somehow you connected it to Connecticut
I did not connect those dots. The entire Appreciation Day is directly related to the recent Connecticut problem and how American's directly view or possibly reevaluating gun usage.
I guess this confused me. And the huge push once again for gun control restarted because of Connecticut. There is no gun owner out there wants to see innocent people get killed.
eh, chicago has had gun control for years. I think it's good they create days like these to educate people about guns. As it is right now, there is no gun education, so kids see guns being used by idiots and then think it's cool to have a gun. It is a bad idea to have it the same day as MLK day though I agree with you on that
Well we all know what happens when you assume. Especially since your article lists all of the organizations behind the gun appreciation day. It's obviously not the best idea to have this on MLK day, but other than that I take no issue with this.
I appreciate my arsenal on a daily basis. Heres a take on guns no one ever talks about. http://fox17online.com/2013/01/08/mendte-1-8-12/
Another guy w/ short-term memory: http://www.samhsa.gov/Federalactionagenda/NFC_execsum.aspx Maybe next time, junior there can explain just how the hunt for "nut jobs" is going since 2004.
I would feel a little safer if we had guns here... btw, Connecticut was a badly planned farce IMO, staged to extract such reactions against guns...
