i just finished my first story and its short im talking about one page short,and im working on alot more storys, how would i go about getting my work published in a magazine or a book.
Go back to your old ideas and see what you can do with them, that's usually what I do when I can't think of anything new.
no i can think of a ton ideas im not having a problem with ideas for storys its what do i with the sotrys when there done, i dont know how to get them published in books or magazines or anything like that
If you want my advice - file it, back it up onto a few formats, in a few places, print it off and give it to people - friends, relatives, stick it in Cereal packets in the supermarket - ask them what you think. Then forget about it and write something new. The storyteller never becomes the story, the story takes on life of it's own and eventually flys the nest. Blessings Sebbi

You can get a list of publishers on any of the popular search engines. Most of the big publishers don't accept unsollicited work, so if you're serious about getting published you will need a book agent (again, you can find one with a search engine). Be aware, though, that whilst it's OK to write messages in a chat room/forum without proper grammar, publishers have to read shitloads of stuff everyday and tend to delete anything that hasn't been written properly.
im not looking to go huge(for now) just something to get my work noticed or at lest make it able to get to people

i thought that section zz9 plural z alpha was the section that arthur and ford were ejected into space and rescued by zaphod. i havent read the book in a while
its the earth sector but aurther and ford where picked up by there,trillian says hey zaphod thats near where you picked me up, meaning earth
Go to the book store, leaf through the magazines, find the ones that you think your writing would fit in, and if they are accepting submissions, the submission requirements should be right there under the masthead with all the other editorial info. Do what they say in terms of how to send it, then send it...
does anyone know any magazines or small publishers that would publish a short story that a new writer wrote,casue i actuly want to have a chance of gettitng it in there
