So, I'm scheduled to work 49 hours this week. I hate my job...

I have to go to school full time and I have 3 exams this week and 3 next week (yeah, I'm the idiot who decided to take 21 credits this semester) and I'm supposed to work.

The past few weeks, I've been dead inside. I can't even explain it-it's not like I'm depressed. I'm stressed, but it's more of a dead feeling than anything. I don't pay attention to conversations and I don't remember anything.

I want to tell my boss that I can't handle these hours, but I need the money. In which case, because I'm in debt, I'm suffering physically and mentally over it.

Any ideas on what I should do? I'm like a friggen carcas walking around! If anyone is interested in paranormal-come to my house-I'm basically dead. haha

Life is a series of decisions. Nothing should come as a surprise to you.

You, after all, built it the way that it is.

    Yes?

I did. But a lot of it, I can't control-taking care of my mother and my niece, etc.

I need to go to school. And I need to get it done soon because I already plan on being in college until I'm in my mid 30's.

    I guess I'm just exhausted.

    Yes you are.

The harder one works, the greater the need for play. Try to find some time to take your feet out of the fire once and a while. You'll be a better person for it.

College till your mid thirties? Now why would you do that to yourself? There is no greater education than personal experience. Don't waste the prime of your life sitting in a desk. I know alot of educated people. Few of them would "do it" again.

While an education can open many doors, it is personal happiness that will eventually come to the forefront. Do what makes you happy. If you can earn a living from it, great.

Wisdom will teach you... that to be happy is far more rewarding than being wealthy.

Take out a student loan and pay your cards off. The interest is lower. Your main priority right now should be school.
You are just going through themotions right now. That's what happens when you work alot. I worked last saturday and 12 hour days all last week. I was a zombie until I woke up this morning

mental health is better than material wealth. give you boss notice and cut back 0n your hours. if that nots cool. Start looking for another job. YOu cant educate your self in a depression. Take a better job and go for the student loan. I fucking drop out of that whole game because I myself cant deal with it. So I live in the country taking it day by day.

Well fortunately he did cut my hours. Thank God! I've picked up a few part time as-they-come things like gigs singing at bars and cleaning houses. I also started selling all natural products and have been getting a few sales. So, I think I'll be alright money wise. Now it's just regaining my motivation after working so hard to get my school work done haha

do you typically depersonalize when you're under a lot of stress? Try to do something to help you focus on the present... such as allowing yourself to become aware of your senses for a little while. Hot baths, sittin out in nature, etc...
