Anyone hear from the Northeast Area? I'm way up in Ashtabula County, its about 45 minutes or so from Cleveland. Everyone around here loves to have fun and party, but theres no peace or love... thats for sure! Any of you good people from around the area? I would love to hit up a show sometime soon, but none of my friends are really into the Jam Band thing.
anyone know if any psychedelic mushrooms are floating about in ohio? I really want to trip in the forest when I am out there this august.
Hudson, Summit County. You know, near that kick ass place they call Kent? Ya... I'm there. ^^ I love meeting fellow hippies in Kent.
Kent's kick ass? It seems just like another College Town to me, but then again I can see what you're saying if you're comparing Kent to Hudson. I go to the university but do not really participate in student life or meet a lot of people. It does seem very liberal like most colleges, but the spirit that was there in the 60's has gone. The old hippies that still live in town are where it's at if you can find one to talk to Are you going to Kent State when you graduate high school (assuming you are still in high school)?
I mean, it's not as radical as it used to be. That's true. But it's not completely lost! There are lot of cool people in Kent and a lot of neat places to hang out! And yes, I plan on going there for Visual Communication Design major, but am already taking classes there as a high schooler. ^^
Gotcha. I was gonna say if you wanted a campus tour I'd show you around, but you probably know more about campus than I do. Are you just taking basic classes for PSEO? I've pretty much gotten into all my major classes, except I'm taking College Writing 2 this semester. I think I'm one of 3 white women on campus with dreads. I spend most of my time around the Library/Science buildings. If you happen to spot me, holler and we can have a cookie together (wtf?) Oh, I'm south o' Hudson, down 91.
I'd love a cookie! And yes, I probably do know campus better. I've only practically grown up in Kent my whole life with my mom taking me to her classes and such when I was a kid. Born and raised in that bubble of Hudson. I took some LERs for PSEO, but I'm mainly just taking whatever interests me (that fits my limited schedule, isn't a pre-q, and isn't already taken! Grr, small capacity limits for art classes!). So, I already took Music as a World Phenomenon and Gen Psych, but this semester I'm taking Art Survey and Introduction to LGBT Studies (yayz!). There are only that many white women with dreadlocks on campus?! That's a shame! However, I do recall seeing a woman with dreadlocks dancing around and whatnot at the Women Fest (in front of the Student Center). Would that have been you? I was getting my face painted.
