Be VERY careful about the NOROVIRUS because it has been spreading and mutating for the past couple of years. It is found at festivals and gatherings or places where people share things. Be very careful when you're sharing food and try to cover all food. Wash all dishes in running water, NOT communal dish buckets. I know that this is very hard to avoid, but you will be projectile vomiting and have a bad case of the shits for 24 hours straight if you catch the NOROVIRUS. There has been a NOROVIRUS epidemic on the east coast according to the PA Health Department. Just a warning. I potentially caught this at a recent festival I went to, but I'm waiting on the test results. The symptoms are identical to giardia. I almost had to be rushed to the hospital. I was so dehydrated that I collapsed. I couldn't keep water down even when I took small sips. The NORVIRUS spreads like wildfire. BEWARE! Peace + Love + Have loads of FUN!

No problem. I'm worrying that there will be an outbreak at the gathering this year. Drifters carry it more often due to going to various events and gatherings. I'm not going to WY this year.
Thats true Its sad because its so nice to share thats one of the many beautiful things about gatherings People just need to be more aware and cautious I feel yah I am not going to but its beause I cant afford it lol but on the bright side I might have some money for the philly folk fest this Aug !! Oh yeah it has been decided by some at the gathering the other day that the new term for giardia is Burpy-squirts
There is a 24 hour virus at the Gathering this year...not giardia or crypto. New cases stopped when bleach water protocols were updated. My wife got it -- I did not.
